... endorses Teachout over Cuomo in NY DEM Gov primary.
He aso endorsed Columbia law professor Tim Wu for lieutenant gov over Cuomo's chosen running mate, RW western NYS congresswoman, Kathy Hochul.
Cuomo said he picked Hochul because she provided "ideological balance" to the DEM ticket. In other words, Cuomo thinks he's "liberal" or "progressive."
Oh.... man. After Teachout wins they've gotta save at least one spot on the cast of SNL for Quid Pro Cuomo. The man's a natural.

Actor and activist Mark Ruffalo on Wednesday endorsed Zephyr Teachout and her running mate Tim Wu in their uphill Democratic primary challenges against Gov. Cuomo and his lieutenant governor choice, former Buffalo-area Rep. Kathleen Hochul.
Ruffalo and the Sierra Club announced their endorsements at an event in the city Wednesday morning, citing Teachout and Wu's opposition to the controversial gas drilling technique known as hydrofracking.
"Im here today to endorse these folks because of their vision for the future, which is renewable energy and getting the state to 100 percent renewable energy," Ruffalo said at a press conference in front of Tweed Courthouse. "On a whole slew of platforms and topics, I feel that at this point these folks are the most exciting thing happening in state politics."
The actor, perhaps best known for his movie role as The Hulk, has been an adamant opponent of fracking, an issue Cuomo has sidestepped for nearly four years.
Cuomo has said he is awaiting the results of a long-awaited state Health Department study before taking a position. The study is not expected to be completed until after the November election.
Ruffalo delivered his endorsement hours before Hochul was scheduled to be formally endorsed at a City Hall rally by Mayor de Blasio, City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito, and a number of City Council members. De Blasio and Mark-Viverito are considered darlings of the left, as is Ruffalo.
Their endorsements were not unexpected. De Blasio helped>>>>>>>http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/dailypolitics/actor-mark-ruffalo-backs-zephyr-teachout-tim-wu-upcoming-democratic-primary-blog-entry-1.1926110

As it goes, I know a thing or two about coming to the rescue against evil plans -- its part of my day job.
But it's one thing to fight bad guys on the big screen, and quite another to stop pro-fracking extremists like Thom Tillis who are working to destroy vital protections that keep us safe from toxic drilling.
In real life, we cant depend on a superhero to protect us. But when we come together in action, we are all at our most powerful, and we can accomplish amazing things.
One thing we need to accomplish this November is to defeat Thom Tillis, who cares more about serving the fossil fuel industry than protecting us.
Please join me in taking a stand against fracking by supporting CREDO SuperPAC's grassroots campaign to defeat Thom Tillis.

Tillis is a leader in the extreme pro-fracking agenda in North Carolina. He just helped push into North Carolina law one of the worst pro-fracking bills in the country. He helped lift the state's fracking ban, and then went so far as to make it illegal to disclose the toxins in fracking fluid.
It's time that we pitch in together with the funding desperately needed to build a people-powered campaign to beat him in November.
I hope you'll help build the fight against fracking by joining me to support CREDO SuperPAC's grassroots campaign. Together, we can defeat Thom Tillis and his radical fracking agenda.

(525 posts)Cuomo has to go. And, huge good fortune, Teachout is NOT a corporatist, much more a "traditional" democrat.
