Big Ten Teleconference: Bo Pelini (coach at NU) talks about Ray Rice

>> Pelini was asked about former Baltimore Raven Ray Rice, released by the team and suspended indefinitely by the NFL after TMZ on Monday posted video of him knocking out his then-fiancee in an elevator. Many coaches, pro and college, have been asked in the last two days about what message they're giving to their team in the wake of the video's release.

"We don't wait for situations like that to come before our team explicitly understands what the expectations are as far as what their conduct is and ultimately respect for women," Pelini said. "To me there's no greater crime that laying your hands on a woman. Believe me, our football team understands that."
