1. I've heard it all day on the radio. One of the reasons I tend to just recognize it and not whine....

..so much about it is this: Hey...guess what? We're not the ONLY country that has ever been bomb/invaded and suffered great loss.

I refuse to "Wallow" in it.

9. No I've never been to it but (as you say) I can imagine it's like a three-ring-dog-and-pony show.

Or there will be an attempt to make it so. It's the way the system is set up.

I went out and saw a movie. That's it. I haven't turned on the TV once today.

I'm tired of making a big deal out of this event every year. I'm not saying we should forget it, obviously, but obsessing over this thing constantly just holds us back as a country and keeps us from truly moving on. Our reaction to 9/11 generated one of the worst periods in American history and I definitely don't need to be consistently reminded of it.

10. There was a truly disgusting and exploitative article on AP yesterday.

It was a blatant attempt at trying to exploit sympathy (I won't link to it) , but I'm thinking: "HEY AP!!!! Instead of invoking sympathy, why don't we get angry at the people really responsible for this - you know - Bush, Cheney, Rice, Scalia, Powell..."

Yeah 9/11 was an extremely horrible tragedy. But no amount of whining is going to bring back the people we lost on that terrible day, instead we can make things better by preventing another one and locking up the people who were really responsible.
