A Modicum of Respect please. That appears to be too much to ask for, apparently.

How about Republicans respect the president and the process by which he was elected? That appears to be too much to ask for, apparently -LS

From Snarky Democrat

Yes, I found this posted about Republicans....so why are some on DU doing the same? You don't like him, that's fine, you disagree with him, that is fine too. However on a Democratic board the disrespect and name calling is not okay for our duly elected Democratic president. What is wrong with people?

Have we lost our way? Women and LGBT and AA are bashed and ridiculed here. They are being chased off this damn site. These groups are huge voting blocks for Democrats, why are they being chased off a Democratic board?

Is this what we have become? Are we the party of no tolerance. Have we become the party of me or do we still believe in blessed equality for each and every person, no matter their color or their sexual orientation or their gender.

Goddess help us, I thought the Republicans and the TeaParty were the antiquated ones in their death throes. Here I see a Democratic party that wishes to divide and conquer. That is no way to win, we will only make change together, united as one. It is not about you, it is not about me, it is about us.

We can do this, yet we have to do it together.

house down so that there is nothing left to have.

That is the attitude being taught by the Koch kiss-up media and their minions the GOP and Libertarians.

They feel they're being robbed and want to take everything away before those they consider to be beneath them get a chance at being Equal.

Everything they claim to believe is a fraud. It was always about power and wealth, not ideals or principles. Those were just the Emperor's clothes to make the continuing theft easier to take.

I'll be posting something about where the real power is in the USA later.

Myself, I respect him for the person he is, for dealing with the disrespect he has had heaped upon him, for the good things he has done, and for the consideration (for every issue) he uses as the President.
I do not agree with him on every issue, which is as surprising as us having different fingerprints.
If I ever get the chance to speak to him: I will say Mr. President with a smile on my face.

However, no one can claim to be a good Democrat and bash or debase women, that's just not done, or should not be. It is happening here Scoot, and it breaks my heart.

As for standing for LGBT, that is a liberal cause no one should deny or criticize. It is one that they should stand and support. It about equality for all of us.

Brown people as you say. Sadly they do not feel welcome here. I see it and I understand why.

People need to open there minds, they need to listen to the pains and sufferings that each group has gone through. Walk in their shoes and see it through their eyes. We need to pause and listen, we need to listen.

People that do what you have stated on a daily basis have a completely different agenda, and it's pretty obvious that agenda has to do with dividing the posters on this site, not trying to unite them. It seems that their goal "is" to run people off of the board so they and the rest of their bad of trolls can take the board over. It's crazy and any "real" democrat, liberal or progressive should be calling them out for what they are.

This has happened before, back in 2010, but this year it seems to me that there are even more disrupting trolls who have shown up to stir the shit and keep everyone angry at each other. Their posts are obvious, why anyone falls for their BS is beyond me. I don't really know how they get away with this day after day, but they do.

I agree we have to do this together, I just don't know how we do it when these people continually get away with this crap, and get their sick posts put on the greatest threads board.

DU is better than this, and I hope those who real care about chaining things for the better can take it back from the doom and gloom, we hate everything and everyone, trolls!

Thanks for posting this She, and look out for the trolls to start attacking this you for stating the truth.
