http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/roberta-thompson-eyewitness-palin-brawlFrom TPM:
She mostly confirmed what her husband told multiple news outlets last week, saying that the two of them were right next to each other during the incident. But she provided her own take on how the events unfolded, including a portion that she said involved the eldest Palin daughter, Bristol Palin, and the owner of the house, Korey Klingenmeyer.
"What I saw was two girls run past and run towards Korey," Roberta Thompson said. "And then I just saw Bristol Palin start punching him in the face."
"It was quite, quite violent," she added.
She said Klingenmeyer was clearly upset about what was happening but maintained his composure.
"She kept punching him and then he just said, you know, 'You need to go,'" Thompson said.
Klingenmeyer escorted the Palins around the corner from there, Thompson said, and she did not see what happened after that. Other news reports of the incident have said another physical altercation involving members of the Palin family broke out after that. One report cited an anonymous source who said Sarah Palin was "nearly crawling on top of people" and shouting profanities during the later altercation.
The new witness is the wife of the guy who went on GMA last week AND who lost his job because he talked to the media.
He has a GOFUNDME page up if anyone wants to contribute:

(13,396 posts)After what Palin and her clan did, what does he owe them? Even if he's a right-wing Republican, it couldn't ruin his status as a team player. I could be wrong, but I'd think it would crush her status and we'd be done with her. I'd kind of hate to see that actually, she's pretty fun to have around.

(80,693 posts)Can you even imagine, in your worst nightmares, what it would be like if that family of hicks and hoodlums had made it to the Naval Observatory (the Vice President's residence)? Wonder how soon they'd have had that place royally trashed? And we'd be forced to hear from her a lot more from the Veep's podium than with her embarrassing little tv channel screeching? ICK!!!

(53,661 posts)She was stunned! She sure didn't care for Palin, but this was shocking to her. I want more people to learn about Putin's leering 'I see Russia from my porch' pal!

(80,693 posts)I swear it! THAT IS WHY. All other things being equal, THAT is what tipped the scales to her. THAT is what made his decision for him. When I saw him, moments after he'd announced her to the world, standing a few steps behind and to her right while she took the podium, and all he did THROUGHOUT her speech was fiddle with his wedding ring and cast a series of sidelong looks at her ass, I swear, I knew it! He probably assumed nobody would notice because, like him, for everyone else it'd be "watch the birdie". Old Fart, Still Thinks He's Hot Stuff with the Ladies. And doesn't care if his wife is right there, literally just inches away, either. CERTAINLY didn't expect that anybody'd notice. Sneaking those looks. Just another dirty old man. He can't help himself. That's just who he is. Wandering eye, serial cheater, just can't stop coveting, looking at those pretty things and slobbering internally.
I swear! I saw my own father do that time and time again, wife THERE IN THE ROOM, but he just HAD to keep on checkin' out the babes anyway. Glaringly. Just oblivious. Watching mccain that day, I swear - I thought I was watching my own dad. He couldn't have been more transparent.
