This has hit during the rainy season, when most food is usually grown. It won't do the survivors any good if they starve after they recover.
I suppose Aunt Sally is there, too, they're usually everywhere. I have never seen them ask about anyone's sexual orientation when they are handing out supplies during and after disasters. Their dogma SUCKS but their practice doesn't.
