1. Without a doubt.

He is the first adult mature President since Jimmy Carter.

2. Better than LBJ or JFK?

Wow. Personally, I think Nixon was a better President than either Obama or Clinton, but that's not really flattering Nixon.

10. Yep. Just so.

I think LBJ was probably the best President of the 20th century.

And no way is he close to being a better president than Obama.

That's just plain ridiculous.

3. FDR was great and his work lives on

National parks, Social Security, leadership during WWII, too much to list. And the people knew he was great. His fireside talks were closely listened to on the radio by my parents as well as most of the country.

But since then, BO is the greatest because he has had the most opposition to his agenda and keeps trying, winning some, losing some, and earning his pay every day.......

I was born in 1938 .....

4. And yet your profile says you are 83 years old. Something isn't adding up.

"I am an 83 year old Native man of this continent", says your profile. Do we get extra points for noting that April 13, 1945 was the day that FDR died?

29. Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush Jr, and Obama

during my lifetime.

By far the best on social policy. Toss-up between Clinton on economics. Among the worst on foreign policy. Better than Bush Jr & Reagan. Bush Jr's foreign policy was more incompetent, Reagan's was more corrupt.

He inherited a bigger mess than all Presidents. That one is obvious.

31. I was born in 1947. The first president of my memory was Eisenhower.

My parents didn't vote for him, but they respected him. I turned 21 too late to vote in 1968, so cast my first presidential ballot for McGovern, who would have been a far better president than Nixon.
Greatest president in my lifetime? I have to say JFK, because he was JFK. You had to be there, but you were. I know this is based solely on emotion but I'm certain we were on a different path as a country, and I doubt I'll see it again in my lifetime.

34. Interesting List

I'd probably agree with you once I had time to think my way through it.

There is a lot less dark side to Obama than FDR (Japanese internment camps, easy blocs with Southern Democrat racists) or Truman (Hiroshima, Cold War promoter) and you are right about LBJ.
