The US needs police like this! (video)

Last edited Thu Apr 30, 2015, 10:47 PM - Edit history (1)

Please ignore the title of this video and just watch it. I think it is important.

The foreigner in question is quite violent and he will be in deep shit but he is not dead as he would be in the US.

So...why can't we expect this level of commitment from our police in the US? Were they in danger of catching a fist? Yes. Did they ever consider death was an appropriate punishment for this guy? No.

On Edit: Changed the title of the OP to get it more attention.

1. I've seen police in Okinawa take out these little truncheons that

are made of aluminum, extend them so that they're double the length, and beat the living shit out of a couple of extremely fit Marines.

There was none of that corralling and talking, either. There were four of them and they told the fit drunkards that they were going to be taken in for creating a disturbance. The Marines were not inclined to cooperate, so the police just whipped out their little aluminum bats, and delivered a beat down that was flat out shocking in its efficiency. I'd say it was about forty seconds between the cop telling the guy to surrender until he and his little friend were on the ground in cuffs. It didn't take a LOT of hits--but it just took knowing exactly WHERE to hit.

I was impressed, mainly because I don't think the four cops (combined weight) weighed as much as the two Marines. Also, the Marines were considerably taller than the cops--it looked like Gulliver in Lilliput!

3. Okinawans do Karate from a young age. Learning "kyuusho" (weak points) is a part of it.

And the police training just made 'em tougher.

You have given up all right to continue threatening innocents.

You can also make a reasonable guess that in the US, he would have been beaten, taped or likely killed.

Would he have deserved it?

Then you can tell me why the US police can't NOT kill so many people.

6. The continum of force in the United states

Calls for the police to use force stronger than the perp. Part of the problem is courts have thrown out minimum fitness standards so police rely on devices like tazers when in the past they might have grappled with a perp.

This video and the one of Swedish police in New York show physical fit police officers. Police forces used to have height and weight requirements that were found to be discriminatory. The reliance on tools other than physical strenght changed that.

You should read the interview I posted yesterday. Much of these changes occurred as a part of the war on drugs.

19. The answer to your questions are that we have an exceedingly mean culture.

If you don't have abusive parents, you have invalidating schools where at best you work for free, and if you make it through those two hellholes, you have bosses that are abusive.

This kind of culture tends toward rage.
