Yes, it's a grape being stitched up - but the potential is truly staggering as I run my fingers over my various surgery scars.

(53,410 posts)when I had cataract surgery the doctor said he had to use a couple of stitches on one eye. The after-effect was that I felt like I had a bit of foreign matter in my eye for a few short days. But no matter how closely I looked in the mirror, even one with 5 times the magnification, I could never see the stitches.
Of course,cataract surgery itself is pretty amazing. What used to make people blind can now be fixed in an instant and painlessly.
Medicine wise we're living in exciting times.

(23,156 posts)and I tell people that cataracts were the best thing that ever happened to my eyes. I have amazing vision. So what if I still need reading glasses? I wake up in the morning and I can see!

(40,656 posts)imagine stitching a tiny jelly fish to an egg. I saw the stitches that the doctor made and they were ASTONISHING! I cannot conceive the robot, then I remember the doctor. Things can be amazing in our world.
