Good people. Incredible dog.

Edit: earlier footage I heard/saw said that this guy's mother is an alcoholic and he rescued Lilly so she'd be company for his mother ... and his mother passed out on the train tracks. Who knows - doesn't matter one way or the other.

Many years ago, a friend of mine in Texas had a huge Pitt Bull called Sugar. She was the sweetest dog I've ever known. I'll never forget how she would give you a full body hug with her front paws around your neck. I saw how she quietly put up with the abuse his younger autistic brother inflicted on her with no more remonstration than a soft whine and an unhappy facial expression.

Don't tell me Pitt Bulls are an inherently dangerous breed. The only danger anyone would be from Sugar was to be licked to death.
