Remember when Ahmadimejad claimed there were no gay people in Iran?

Don't want to travel to Iran to listen to someone say things that are so woefully ignorant about issues surrounding the gay community?

That's okay, you can go to Florida's 22nd District to listen to Allen West (at least until November, because Mr. Big Brave Army Man is too scared to run for re-election in that district and decided to hightail it to another district to try and peddle himself for another two years in Congress)

Allen West: LGBT Workplace Discrimination Doesn't Exist

Rep. Allen West (R-Fl.) doesn't think that laws protecting LGBT workers are necessary because he says people are never fired because they are gay.

"That don’t happen out here in the United States of America," he told ThinkProgress.

West went on to explain that because he sits on the Small Business Committee, he knows that managers are concerned more about "onerous tax policy, regulatory policy, and lack of access to capital because Dodd-Frank is absolutely decimating
