The first time I 'saw' the internet was in about 1983. An interesting person

that I still know had a monitor and box in his living room. He had that big box modem he connected with via his telephone handset with that high pitched squeeee noise. You can draw your own conclusions about why a supposedly private person had this type of access back in those days.

The first line of text I ever saw was bracket -care to chat?- bracket, and I saw vividly what potential lay ahead.

The light bulb went off over my head, and I thought to myself, 'fuck! this IS the future! people connected like this can only possibly mean that there really ARE smart people out there!'

I got my first computer and first got online in about 1992. AOL of course. Since then, I've been looking for those forms of intelligent life, and damn.... I still haven't found it.

The world is full of mindless fucking morons. Everyone has an opinion on the same average age level of a toddler, where they feel obligated to say every single mindless stupid thing that floats through their collective brain cells. When the most impressive part of their day is akin to 'look how cute my cat is' and 'Obama is a muslim' I seriously wonder how the human race continues to survive with such idiocy.

Thank goodness for the .00001% that actually use more than 10% of their potential intellect but damn... I haven't found one single source of genuine, collective, comprehensive intellectual dialogue on this world wide web. This site had potential when it first started back in 2001. I was one of the first several hundred people that joined up. We did good work, exposing the election fraud. We changed things here, it was THE battle ground for exposing the election fraud and the bush regime. The group was smarter.

Now, not so much. It's populated by the same mindless morons seeking out their own level and posting about cats and muslims; intent only on trashing and thrashing any single iota of dialogue that disagrees with the haze of their own delusions.

If anyone knows of any sites that actually have decent, intelligent people with a sense of humor, open minded-ness and genuine intellect with an intent to purpose, let me know.

"It used to be said that a million monkeys typing on a million typewriters would eventually produce the works of Shakespeare. Now, thanks to the internet, we know that is not true."

1979. My uncle was an executive at a fortune 500 company and had access at home to what we now call e-mail.

I hot my first e-mail account in 1995. The only people to whom I communicated via e-mail were co-workers.

Not sure what conclusions we're supposed to draw about your friend.
