He had to throw in a compliment so they wouldn't be totally heartbroken cause he called out their FACT FREE reporting.

I never watched the WHCD before PBO and I don't plan to ever watch again.

The fact that a lot of the press found it profoundly unfunny only made it better... I don't think whoever set Colbert up in that gig had any idea what he was actually about or they would never have put him there.

lighthearted and funny. Like an old Dean Martin Roast. It's a time to bury hatchets and let the participants laugh at themselves. If President Obama, with all the pressures he faces every day can do it...maybe we can too.

It was only in the last minute anyway, and he commended the journalists who seek the TRUTH, not the media in general.

...heard about the press from him was the very last thing he said, which sounded like praise and pride in the media.
