There is one reason Trump has accused Clinton of playing the "womens' card"

He is afraid she will.
How often has the phrase 'women know better' been used effectively in your personal life. It is a game killer very often because it is often true. Men, collectively, are responsible for the world we live in for the most part. Clinton can make them own it by playing the womens' card and Trump knows it.

During the primary campaign, he didn't utter a word about Carly and his other competitors were men.

Now he is struggling how to attack a woman without alienating women in general.

“Look at that face!” he said at a conference table with his staff as Mrs. Fiorina took a question about him on television. “Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!”

I don't like Carly Fiorina, but that is still a crude remark to make about any person, man or woman.

comprise 51% of the world's population and yet speaking from a woman's point of view has always been treated as if one is speaking to fringe issues.

Trump hasn't yet noticed that his constituency (those white men who are holding on with their fingertips to their unearned privileges) are the new fringe.
