as his "transition team" leader has some interesting implications. For starters, let's begin with Bridgegate. Today, Judge Wigenton ordered the release of the names of the unindicted co-conspirators today. That list should include most of Mr. Christie's inner circle of advisers. This alone begs the question of what type of talent he would bring to surround Trump. The Bridgegate trial has a good chance of grabbing some headlines in the Fall right as the election heats up. I guess there's no such thing as bad publicity in Trump's world.
Of more note however, is the experience of Mr. Christie's own transition team. Led by David "the General" Samson who orchestrated the building of the Christie administration, Mr. Samson's escapades make up a substantial portion of the Christie Crime Digest. From treating Sandy relief money like a slush fund to shady deals with United Airlines and many other incidents in between, Mr. Samson was the king of dirty deals. He and Christie plundered & terrorized the state together. The new state motto should be Quod Est In Loco (the fix is in). Now Trump asks Christie to bring his style of transition to the national stage.
More than being the gatekeeper of personnel, the transition team sets the tone for the new administration. The key appointments are only the start. Policy analysis and changes to the executive branch, including overhauls of administrative regulations are all part of the package. We could expect gutting of environmental regulations, a list of judicial appointments that will make your skin crawl and a relationship with Congress based on bullying and intimidation. This promises to be a real horror show. Like the "Bust-out" episode of the Sopranos Christie and his boys will be moving in on the operation and squeezing every last drop of juice out of the orange.
I don't understand why more isn't being said of what exactly naming Christie to a position like this portends. America should be frightened. I guess the unwashed masses clamoring for Trump would find this refreshing. Sane people should use this as inspiration to make sure that they do everything in their power to prevent this from happening. Please consider yourselves forewarned.

(2,419 posts)is necessary. Reality T.V. World is spot on. The lines between reality and television have been so blurred that we can consider giving an actual important position, in fact the most important position in the world, to someone because they pretend to be a character that impresses the masses. The remainder of the world should really be frightened. With Trump in charge our country will be like an escaped circus gorilla with nuclear weapons.

(2,419 posts)I'm starting to have my doubts. I still can't believe Bridget Kelly hasn't flipped on him yet. When the co-conspirators are identified, things might start to get dicey for Christie. Regardless, I don't understand why people are busy discussing what positions he might hold and not his past experience approaching government as a racket. One is speculation, the other documented behavior.
