Thousands Watch Pittsburgh Falcon Feed Young To Fellow Chick

A reminder that nature isn't always pretty:

PITTSBURGH (AP) – A live broadcast of a peregrine falcon nesting at the University of Pittsburgh’s Cathedral of Learning shows the bird feeding three hatchlings to her first chick.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports thousands watched the infanticides over recent days through a National Aviary stream.

do what she has to do (without leaving first chick alone for predators) to ensure the survival of one. Although, I wonder if the second male hung around to help raise the chick.
