I can't believe Zimmerman the creep is going to make mid 8 figures from sale of that gun

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2016/05/13/bids-george-zimmerman-gun-auction-top-50m/84319096/

Bidding in an online auction for the gun George Zimmerman used to kill Trayvon Martin was up to $65 million Friday morning as Internet trolls appeared to drive the offers to astronomic levels.

Bidding on the 9 mm Kel-Tec PF-9 pistol began at $5,000 and reached more than $65 million early Friday. The top bidder at one point used the screen name “Racist McShootface.” That account was later deleted. Another bidder used the name Tamir Rice, which is the name of a 12-year-old boy shot by police in Cleveland while carrying a toy gun.

The most recent bid topping $65 million is by someone identified as Craig Bryant.

These aren't real bidders, they are just random people making accounts and bidding it up as a trolling attempt.

Making a bid in an internet auction doesn't necessarily bind you to make the purchase. So, i could go on there and put it a $100 million bid but never intend to pay it.

You really think that? Lol... because the jump in price from $5K up to $65M makes sense? Really? The gun will go for something in the thousands. People with $65M to spare buy fine art or a 5th vacation home, not a shitty made gun

It's sad that it's even up for auction, but then again, you're asking for ethical behavior from online gun brokers and that's one hell of a tall order.

saddle pistols, so that's actually two guns. This makes a 65 million dollar bid very difficult to believe. Very.
There seems to be a recurring myth about Zimmerman making tons of cash, I read he was selling paintings for six figures, that was not true. I was told he was contracted by Fox News, also not true.
I think crap like this serves the wrong side. It's passing on gossip about the popularity of an evil man. I like to verify my comments about evil, seeing as it is evil I don't want to stain my shirt with any karmic back splash.....

I'm serious. Even the most avid racist wouldn't pay more than a couple mil because it doesn't appeal to everyone and would be harder to resell.

These high bids are meant to spoil the auction for the idiots who bid a couple thousand. After the deal falls through, he'll have to relist it.

He doesn't care, obviously what he does or who it effects. Probably has a career manager specializing in exploitive American narritives. Racist gun nuts adore Zimmerman I'm sure. That's the scary thing-- you know he gets props and support from a segment of the population, when he should be in prison for life.

486 thousand...

to 65 million. ...

in one bid....

I doubt he gets what he paid for it, which for a Kel-Tec is too much, no matter what the price.

Zimmerman then tried to sell the gun through United Gun Group, an online marketplace for firearms. It listed the weapon at a starting bid of $5,000, the same as on the previous site.
But United Gun Group put out a statement Thursday night, saying the gun will not be sold on its site.
