Donald Trump Reportedly Has Chris Christie Picking Up His McDonald’s For Him
http://www.mediaite.com/print/donald-trump-reportedly-has-chris-christie-picking-up-his-mcdonalds-for-him/
by Alex Griswold ![]() According to a report from The New Yorker, Republican New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has been relegated to Donald Trump‘s “manservant,” even going out and fetching fast food orders. That gem was buried in a piece from Ryan Lizza, detailing how Trump’s Republican critics have been forced to choose between supporting or opposing him. Marco Rubio, whose last days as a Presidential candidate were spent mocking the size of Trump’s hands and the orange hue of his face, recently apologized for the personal attacks, and said that he would speak on Trump’s behalf at the Convention. Governor Chris Christie, of New Jersey, another of Trump’s opponents early in the campaign, has transformed himself into a sort of manservant, who is constantly with Trump at events. (One Republican told me that a friend of his on the Trump campaign used Snapchat to send him a video of Christie fetching Trump’s McDonald’s order.) Christie was of course widely mocked for wearing a pained expression while standing behind Trump during an entire speech. A hot mic later caught Trump more or less ordering Christie around after a rally. “Get on the plane and go home,” Trump whispered in his ear.

5. Wouldn't the Donald
be afraid that Christie would snag some (or all) of his fries before it reaches him?

3. The McDonald's he doesn't actually eat?
Sounds like the masterminds at the Trump campaign leaked this so his followers believe he's just like them. Poor Christie serves as filler.

4. I wonder...
if CC picking up MacDonalds for him is a VP test to see if the food stays intact till it gets to him.

7. So Ryan Lizza falls for the trap the GOP campaign set up for the elitist media
It makes Trump look like a regular guy (he eats McDonald's) and these media are out of touch with regular people (what's wrong buying at McDonald's).

9. Reminds me of:"Hey Andy, go rustles us up some burgers!"
Paul O'Neill's first meeting with Cheney/W transition team. O'Neill is lead into a darkened conference room and can barely make up Cheney standing in front of him. W pops up from behind Dick like a little puppy dog and yells at Andrew Card to fetch them lunch.

10. This is funny, but...
... there are substantial and important issues that need to be brought forth in this presidential campaign. The policies the GOP has or wants to impose on Americans must be brought to the forefront of our national conversations. Of course, Donald Trump doesn't have any plans so we need to highlight that deficit, too.
Making fun of Governor Christie's weight feels juvenile compared to the horrible policies and governing that he's responsible for. It is noteworthy, I admit, that Donald Trump has been able to beat down his Republican opponents through his bullying such that those rivals are now bowing to Mr. Trump. Yet these same clowns have the gall to call President Obama weak! They're pathetic. |
