July, 1972 at the first Annual Kerrville (TX) Folk Festival with Lady Bird




August, 1972--Meeting with Senator George McGovern at the LBJ Ranch



September, 1972--hair grown long




November, 1972--with Lady Bird on their wedding Anniversary



December, 1972--1972, LBJ made his last appearance at the LBJ Library and Museum for the Civil Rights Symposium with Barbara Jordan and Vernon Jordan



January, 1973--being interviewed by Walter Cronkite, just days before his death.

Had he ran and won a second term, his last day in office would have been two days earlier.

I remember when I heard of his death, just two days after Nixon took office and thought of that coincidence.
