...has a star should disqualify him from running - he is a performer, a fake. Nothing more.

We already had one performer - Reagan. We do not need a another.

It will send a message to Kanye, the Kardashians, etc. who now seem to believe all you need to get elected President is a reality show and a twitter account

Why? Just why?

They give those things to anybody. Kind of pollutes those who actually deserve it.

I want a "longship" Hollywood star!! If Donald can get one, why not me?

(I'll take the one next to Gene Kelly.)

And how many palms did he have to grease?

It cheapens all the other honorees to have this asshole in their company.

And everyone who has the star paid for it or in some cases the fans. As for replacements the tax payers in that city pay for replacements. Not sure what city it's in. Beverly Hills or Hollywood. But they pay the replacement. I'd say Beverly Hills can absorb the costs more then Hollywood I think.

they will have to remove it. That's a message. Or someone will have to guard it around the clock! Even better.

...being deep in fly over country, but Donald Trump has a star amongst the likes of Humphrey Bogart, Greta Garbo, Paul Newman, etc.? Heck, at that rate, how do I get one? Apparently someone's handing them out like candy.

Like, perhaps, OJ Simpson's? It would be FAR BETTER if they made a grand gesture of digging it up and shipping it to Don the Con together with a refund of whatever he paid to have it installed.

I remember a while back Trump's star was the target of some of vile graffiti and yes - dog shit - that the committee that overlooks the HOF had considered removing it, but they didn't even remove Bill Cosby's star and that was the target of very similar graffiti and poop.
