The racist NYPD captain who ruined my career for not targeting enough blacks and Hispanics got promoted

I decided to join a class-action lawsuit and make my experiences within the police department public in an ambitious attempt to bring about essential change and awareness to the very serious matter of how hidden police policies are being carried out, despite being unlawful and leading to discriminatory practices.

I've stressed that it's rarely the individual who's the problem, but instead the inherently racist policy of enforcement quotas in black and Hispanic neighborhoods under the pseudo-justification of the "Broken Windows” theory. A recently released study from the Office of the Inspector General found the approach "ineffective in decreasing felony crimes," as activists and other critics have been saying for over two decades.

Although many issues in modern policing stem from draconian policies, there are certainly times where the individual is the culprit.

In this specific case, it’s Commanding Officer of Transit District 32 in Crown Heights — Capt. Constantin Tsachas.
