I'd like to suggest "SURGE UPWARD" as a name for our Resistance Movement (Original Post) IndianaDave Feb 2017 OP
I think the term bourne out of the emotions of the protests is always naturally the best. RESIST. Trust Buster Feb 2017 #1
OK - Just trying to be creative and use something simple and easy to remember. IndianaDave Feb 2017 #2
I'm going to stick with "RESIST." because it perfectly captures the way I feel. Trust Buster Feb 2017 #3
I go with RESIST also. One word, easy to remember and says it all. shraby Feb 2017 #4
I prefer the simple "resistance", with a small 'r'. IMO, we don't need branding. Eyeball_Kid Feb 2017 #5
You do realize there is a reason businesses and Republicans spend billions annually on branding... IamFortunesFool Feb 2017 #6

We are fighting animals here. Cute jingles just won't cut it. RESIST. !!!!!! Surge Upward sounds like something Tinker Bell Trump does in private and not a name that captures the emotion of a serious movement. LOL

Branding and marketing are more important than the actual product in most cases. Shitty products with great names make people rich all the time. Great products with shitty names or slogans never see the light of day.

Resist is weak language, folks. We can, and must come up with something to combat and defeat the "Tea Party" and "Moral Majority"... Not just "resist".

A SURGE is a burst of POWER. Every day we start anew - we intend to bring that power to bear on Trump and the Republicans.

UPWARD indicates that we want to go in the opposite direction from the retrograde, backward, negative policies of the right wing extremists who are now dragging our nation down. Their political attitude is destructive of our country and our friendly relationships with Europe, Australia, Mexico, and who knows who else, by the time they're finished. Their policies are divisive and filled with anger. Ours are inclusive and based on mutual respect. I could go on and on, but I think I've made my point. So, SURGE UPWARD kind of says it for me. But I can certainly accept that other folks have a different perception. - Dave
