Thoughts in my brain before it falls asleep...

I am beginning to think that Trump wants to be relieved of the presidency. I think he'd rather fight the charge of being insane than defend himself from corruption charges. Corruption is a charge that affects his "brand". Insanity... well, we can blame those charges on the media folk, the democrats, and the Intelligence community.

Pence is remarkably silent.

1. He most surely does,

but doesn't know a satisfactory way to manage it, and there's bannon, who just won't allow it.

2. He never wanted it in the first place

Now he's trapped like a rat in a trap. I'm sure knowing that it is of his own making isn't adding to his cheery disposition.

3. Oh, I think he wanted it for revenge

against everybody in that White House Correspondents' Dinner a few years ago. I remember the look on his face as he stomped out of that room at the end of the evening. His vendettas are legendary and he thought the presidency would offer a way to go after all his enemies, real or imagined.

Now he's finding out there are limits to presidential power and he doesn't like it one bit. He's used to bullying and blustering to get his way in everything and hates being told there are limits.

I sincerely hope he doesn't make it through the two years the GOP leadership are hoping for before some nice men in white coats whisk him away in a limo in the wee hours, an announcement later in the day that he's suffering a dire physical ailment that will prevent his continuing on. Hello, President almost-as-bad Pence.
