Condoleezza Rice, George Bush's Secretary of State, was on The View this morning.
She spent the whole time kissing Trump's butt and said he has assembled a wonderful group in his administration.
She especially loves Trump's Sec of State Tillerson.
Oh, she also defended General Flynn, saying we don't know what he said to the Russians.
I love Whoopie and Joy but why did they have Rice on there, other than she has a book out now.

(19,549 posts)Trump's supporters would be a key market for her so she has to pander to them to push her sales. It's marketing 101.
What you saw was just a lame sales pitch best forgotten. If we bother to bring attention to her it just helps her sales, which I, personally, would rather not do.

(30,481 posts)She was a SOS and extremely accomplished woman in many other respects. I imagine she determines what shows she goes on, not the other way around. Must be very nice as one has a book coming out.

(82,849 posts)Some producer at The View had to look over the new releases list of book publishers and said, "Hey, we need Secretary Rice on the show!" As for being "extremely accomplished" in other respects, I note that many criminals have talents and accomplishments; doesn't absolve them from guilt for their crimes.

(30,481 posts)If not it's her own manager. She might have been requested as you stated. Either way, it's an agreement.
As for your last part, I don't see how it is in contention given my post.

Party before Country, eh Condi? Again!
