Bernie Sanders 2020

If Bernie Sanders wins the 2020 Democratic Presidential Nomination and defeats Trump in the November General Election, He will be 79 years old when he gets inaugurated. He will be 83 when he completes his first term and 87 when he completes his final term. Sanders needs an highly competent Vice Presidential Runningmate in 2020 and 2024 to suceed him assuming Sanders is unable to serve out his full term. Who should be that runningMate?
Sherrod Brown?
Kamala Harris?
Al Franken?
Amy Klobuchar?
Tammy Duckworth?
Tulsi Gabbard?

For fuck's sake, no pre-ordained "inevitable" marquee candidates sucking all the air out of the room and bullying the rest of the party into staying out of the race.

I want a huge field, preferably including a whole bunch of people under 50 and from West of the Rockies.

Newsom. Harris. Franken. Warren. Buttigeig. Inslee. Booker. Duckworth.

To name a few.

Can we possibly choose a standardbearer that would be older than Trump on his inauguration day?

Try some of these names:
New York AG Eric Schneiderman: 67 years old on Inauguration Day
Montana Governor Steve Bullock: 54 on Inauguration Day
California Senator Kamala Harris: 56 on Inauguration Day
Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy: 47 on Inauguration Day
Hawaii Senator Brian Schatz: 48 on Inauguration Day
Retired Tennessee Congressman Harold Ford Jr.: 50 on Inauguration Day
Retired HUD Secretary Julian Castro: 46 on Inauguration Day

problems in his thinking. i know he is a thoughtful and articulate man, but what i saw as the campaign wore on was that he didnt seem able to present any nuance. he couldnt get off "millionaires and billionaires" and "wall street, wall street, wall street" no matter the context.

this is what cost him the black vote. he couldnt envision the difference between racial justice and economic justice. he insisted they were the same thing. this disturbed me on many levels, but one of them was wondering is he had the mental chops for the job.

no bernie. no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
retire to vermont, and enjoy your old age, dude.

just about anyone in politics. That said, I think his political revolution needs to be about more than him. There are many Bernie supporters who could take up the cause and run. We also need unity badly, and perhaps Hillary or Bernie running would hurt that.

Would still prefer a Democrat in '20, if one can be found with the guts to turn down the Big Money per Bernie's example.
