I would love to see something happen that quickly, but I'm afraid to think it's even a possibility.

I hope I'm wrong. Lock. Him. Up.!!!!!!

from a prosecutorial standpoint, there's no rush, and much to gain by a continued, thorough investigation.

there are likely multiple crimes involving multiple people and a lot of tangled financial records to go through.

i think this will take a good while....

I always feel so much better when I come to DU, and read about the imminent collapse of the Drumpf presidency.

Then I shut the computer, and go back into the real world, the one where no indictments are anywhere on the horizon.

This will unquestionably be the biggest case most of the people working on it will have ever seen. Dotting all the I's and crossing all the T's is imperative, as is lining up all the evidence, including loads of financials. Plus, I assume they will need to consult with Mueller.

It certainly seems like things are headed that way, but I would urge patience.

Sure, I follow the suspected twitterers who so far have relayed pretty accurate information, but I don't call it the gospel until the NYT and WP report with sources.

It doesn't mean that it's not fun to read and speculate however.

45 and co. have had time to destroy Obamacare and everything else
that is good for the public commons.

The Reeps have to have time to undo everything good, after all.

In fact, I expect Mueller will conclude there was no collusion between Trump and Russia and no illegal interference with investigations into the alleged meddling and collusion.

I want the investigators and the prosecutors to take a good long time and be very meticulous in their development of the facts and the evidence. I want public pressure and public speculation to build on the White House. I want people talking about this as a done deal before any indictments are handed down, such that only a fool would have any doubts about the guilt of the accused.

I don't want any slip-ups, premature grants of immunity, prosecutorial misconduct or any other legal loophole for these scumbags to slither through and avoid justice.

about the probability of the investigation taking a long time seems to ignore the fact that the FBI investigation has been going on for a long time already. When Mueller has reviewed the findings so far, I think things might move right along.

Prosecutors don't rush in. They get every possible duck in a row and present a case to a grand jury once they have every I dotted and T crossed.

There is no way they are even close at this time.
