Tiger Woods was IN TRAFFIC--in the right lane, NOT pulled over!

I am getting frustrated that people think he "did the right thing" by conking out in the middle of a traffic lane like that, just because he had his foot on the brasked. If, in his unconscious strate, his foot had lifted from the braske, that car, which was running, would have started moving.

Besides, even if he didn't left his foot off the braske, a car stopped in the middle of traffic, with an unconscious driver, is a real danger. It could lead to a rear-ending, or even to a chain reaction pile-up.

He did NOT "pull over"! He conked out in the traffic lane while driving!

He knew he was under the influence and drove. Full stop. There is no intent for a DUI. If you operate a vehicle on the influence of alcohol or controlled substances you put your life as well as other lives in danger. He would be just as guilty as if he pulled over -- he never should have drove.

But, woods is wealthy so he will just get a slap on the wrist.

bothered much less arrested be because he had "done the right thing" by "pulling over."

I have seen such posts here and on other sites.

So that gives him, in the minds of people, more leeway over the average person if they do something wrong. If you or I pulled over after we drove under the influence, people would not be saying we did the right thing, they would be saying we deserve the book thrown at us.

Celebrities always get a pass on things like this.

But I did a fair number of them as a young man. The punishment for first offense DUI is not severe for anyone. The real "punishment" is losing your driving privileges for a period of time and higher insurance rates. No one does prison time for a 1st offense DUI. So if he gets a slap on the wrist it will be the same slap that everyone gets. If anything his concern might be that a prosecutor or judge will be harder on him than in the normal case because everyone is paying attention.

I meant it more in the consequences of the punishment. Nothing happens a to someone as rich and famous as Woods if he loses his driving privileges and has to pay more for insurance. He won't lose his job and struggle to pay the fines and fees.

That is the reason that the one time a celebrity tried to hire my firm, we didn't take the case because we did not want the bad publicity.

Cops didn't actually see him take the meds and see him get his keys and see him open the door of his car and see him start the car and see him drive to the spot and see him stop in the middle of the road and see him passed out.

SO HOW CAN THEY KNOW HE WAS DUI????????/???????7????????

He was booked, released on his own recognizance, and he'll go to court. Then he'll plead to a misdemeanor, his license will be suspended for a few months, he'll be put on probation, probably take an alcohol class (or the equivalent private counseling that rich guys usually do), and his insurance rates will go up. Just like the other 1.5 million people that get arrested for DUI in this country every year. I think the response you see is that when people first saw his mugshot, they assumed it was a much more lurid story. And when it wasn't, a lot of people wanted to push it back the other way to "he was railroaded" just too keep the story interesting.

I used to get frustrated by simple speculation and discussion as well. More so when someone was given the benefit of a doubt prior to all relevant information becoming available.

Then I'd voice my frustration to advertise how damnably clever I thought I was.

And finally pretend it was simply my righteousness that compelled my to do so.

I'm sure the DA will try to nail Tiger.

Given what some police have done to poor innocent black men, one wonders what role that played .
