RNC's Michael Reed can't understand why Morning Joe failed to ask Al Franken about Kathy Griffin

The Republican National Committee went after MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough Wednesday for his recent opposition to President Donald Trump. Scarborough then turned to attack Trump himself and encouraged him to get a life.

Scarborough’s “Morning Joe” was once a welcoming place to Trump as a candidate but turned hostile as Trump began to infuriate the host. According to The Hill, RNC deputy communications director Michael Reed sent out a statement blaming Scarborough for filling the airwaves with leftist propaganda.

“Once a respected forum for intelligent discourse, the program has turned into 3 hours of far-left hysteria, filled with more faux scandal and innuendo than a bad episode of Gossip Girl,” the statement said.

The statement went on to say that the “Morning Joe” hosts also give Democratic leaders a pass. They cited Wednesday’s interview with Sen. Al Franken (D-MN), noting they didn’t ask the comedian about Kathy Griffin’s recent photo with a headless Trump dummy.

1. Why is Al Franken responsible for Kathy Griffin?

Why should anyone answer to her actions except her? (You could say CNN has taken its position). Was she acting on behalf of Al Franken?

As far as I can figure it out,

1). Reed thinks Morning Joe is mean to Trump

2). Al Franken is a Democrat

3). Reed's idea of "fair and balanced" would be Scarborough grilling Franken over something he had no involvement in whatsoever, other than being a "leftist," which in Reed's mind probably made him complicit.

...that's just the surface level "crazy take" on this. Reed's logic might be even more convoluted than my "educated guess."

asked him about Kathy and he talked about redemption and forgiveness. Not sure what else they want from him. He said she is still his friend.

Democrats take heat from RepubliCANTs. These entertainers aren't elected officials, they're citizens using their first amendment rights and Dems pols shouldn't be asked about what these people say or do.

From wandering off the stage during his joint appearance with Netanyahu to being so winded at the G-7 in Sicily that he had to follow along in a golf cart to his early morning tweet that looks like it came from a stroke victim, President Trump has exhibited some alarming behaviors of late. The American people deserve to know if the president is healthy. He should undergo a comprehensive physical and neurological exam to be sure he's got all his marbles.
