GOP takes heavy fire over pre-existing conditions

The new ObamaCare repeal measure from Senate Republicans would give states a way to repeal protections for people with pre-existing conditions, a controversial move that opponents of the bill are denouncing.

The provision attracted widespread attention on Wednesday after late-night host Jimmy Kimmel blasted Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.), a lead author of the legislation. Kimmel said the senator is violating the “Jimmy Kimmel test,” which Cassidy coined as a way of saying that no one should be denied care because they can’t afford it.

“This guy Bill Cassidy just lied right to my face,” Kimmel said.

necessary to any policy. Isn't it? By doing it their way just makes it an option. Doesn't it?

Just get a lobotomy, have your heart taken out and replaced with something artificial (like Cheney).

Of course, the pre-existing criteria is having no soul.

I am worried about this latest GOP bill to replace ACA. It is a recurring nightmare since Russia won the election. Will the Senate move to remove filibuster if this fails and the end of fiscal year is reached?

The GOP asswipes will do anything to fuck over Americans for the benefit of their wealthy donors.

Thanks, Judge Roberts for Citizens United. Thanks, George Bush for stealing the 2000 election and putting Roberts on Supreme Court. Thanks GOP for 9/11, Iraqi War, ignoring constitution to block President Obama's Supreme Court Nomination, voter suppression, the coming nuclear war.

Thanks GOP for destroying America's democracy.

I have a grandnephew who has been in the NICU for 17 days now. It is hoped he'll get out by December 8, which was my niece's due date.

Assuming the caps get put back and they're a $1,000,000 as most were in the past, the poor little guy will probably hit that - or come awfully close - by the time he goes home.

They aren't answering their phones but I did leave a voicemail. Dumping healthcare on the states with inadequate funding and allowing states to decide who "deserves" healthcare and how much money can be extorted from people unfortunate enough to have preexisting conditions is unconscionable.

the Republican party. "State's rights", and all that. The GOP is committing political suicide, but they seem to think it's a fair trade, for some reason. A few thousand dead poor people (until a real government can be restored in the next few years) when this heinous situation can be rectified. And for that they're willing to lose their phony baloney jobs? Or do they already have a deal worked out with Russia for a perpetual majority in Congress and a GOP thug in the White House? Is fascist America a fait accompli?

You know the NSA is aware of what's going on, or perhaps they're an integral part of this coup?
