There appear to be 4 primary parties in the battle for America's soul.

We have the Koch brothers allied with probably most of the other billionaires. It has been clearly established how the Koch brothers have been working to shape the political debate in this country starting at least as early as the 1970s. They have waged a very effective propaganda campaign that has fundamentally changed the ideology of this country. They basically own the Republican party at this point. They were very good at acting covertly for a long time, but even though what they have done is out in the open now for everyone to see and they continue openly with their war on the American people, most Americans still don't even know who the Koch brothers are let alone what they have accomplished. Their modus operandi appears to be insatiable greed. Liberals appear to have a few billionaires on their side who have tried their hand at influence, but they have been largely unsuccessful in the face of the tsunami of deception coming from the Kochs and their allies.

This article is three months old, but it still effectively illustrates the profound influence of the Koch brothers.

"Koch network 'piggy banks' closed until Republicans pass health and tax reform
Koch officials said that the network’s midterm budget for policy and politics is between $300m and $400m, but donors are demanding legislative progress"

Next we have the alt-right neo-Nazis allied with Donald Trump. Yep, the president of the United States is a neo-Nazi and he has overtly, implicitly expressed that as recently as 2015. But even though he won't come right out and admit it, it's been clear to people who still possess the ability to think independently that Donald Trump at the very least is sympathetic to white hate groups. I'll come right out and say it. Donald Trump is a neo-Nazi and he has done a great deal to advance their cause. The fact that there are a few Jews and a few people of color in his administration is not good evidence to the contrary. The modus operandi of the alt-right is almost purely ideological. The end game is eugenics, concentration camps, and genocide. They will vehemently deny that, but, man, if you think Hitler was a great leader and want to see him memorialized on European currency, if you openly fly Nazi flags at a protest and wear swastikas, what other possible conclusion can reasonable people come to?

A Swedish journalist went undercover and infiltrated the alt-right movement in America. He covertly recorded on audio and video conversations with people who are seen as movers and shakers in that movement. There is a very good investigative report up now on the web of his findings, and it confirms that these alt-right fuckers are murderous if Charlottesville wasn't enough proof for you. He now regularly gets death threats, and there is a concerted effort by the alt-right to try to discredit him. As we all know here, the alt-right has been successfully waging a propaganda war in the United States. So successful, in fact, that they've gotten one of their own in the White House.

But the alt-right probably wouldn't have managed to take the presidency if it weren't for those wacky, happy-go-lucky, purely benevolent Russians. I mean, that Vladimir Putin, what a swell guy, right? If Donald Trump expresses deep admiration for a leader that is widely seen by people around the planet as being a brutal dictator, then surely those reports are false and that leader is on the up and up. No doubt. It's wonderful now that the Cold War is over that Russia has seen the light on our way of thinking and is actively promoting Democracy, freedom, tolerance, and peace throughout the world.

Well, it's not entirely clear what the Russians are really up to at this point, but it is undoubtedly not in the best interests of the ordinary American. A common thought on the issue by people who are watching closely is that Russia is waging a propaganda war on the United States largely via the internet. The election wasn't the end of it, but rather the start. It is probably still ongoing. It is thought that the long term aim might be to weaken the United States to the point that Russia can come over here and just stomp the shit out of us, or more likely install a puppet regime in the United States. It looks like they have successfully done that in three former Soviet states that gained independence after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Those countries were once independent of Russia, but they now all have pro-Russian governments running the show. The Russians accomplished that without firing a shot or setting foot inside those countries. Russia has essentially reclaimed those former Soviet states. A fourth attempt in Ukraine has failed. When the people there caught on to what was happening and ousted their pro-Russian leader, Russia's reaction was to invade Crimea, recognized by most of the world to be Ukrainian territory, and forcibly annexed a large part of their land. Ukraine is still at war with Russia. Ukrainians are still getting killed there by the Russians on a frequent basis although they haven't committed to total war on the country. A line has been drawn. The Ukrainians don't have enough power to drive the Russians out, and the Russians could probably destroy the entire country, but they are content at present with Crimea.

The following article explores the Gerasimov Doctrine of total war developed in Russia and is thought to be a clue about about Russia's strategic aims at this point. It is my view that the Russian leadership's modus operandi is simply revenge.

And now for the fourth group- that is us, the American people. This group is almost completely unaware that it is at war right now, that it is daily being attacked by three different competing malevolent groups who at times actually work in concert with each other but have their own aims, and that it is quickly losing ground in the fight. Probably about 35% of the people in this group are completely brainwashed and incapable of independent thought. It is a very sad thing. These people are so bad off that some of them voluntarily, gleefully, and actively fight against the truth and on the side of their oppressors and promote their agendas. My guess is that almost all of the rest of the population in America is aware to some degree that it is getting the shaft in some way, that Donald Trump is a terrible leader, and they might have a vague notion that there are some powerful unseen forces at work in America, but they don't really have anything close to a clear picture of what is really happening. If they did, I think Donald Trump would have been forced to resign by now by his own party. But instead, these people are mostly powerless at this point due to their lack of awareness of the forces at work and have been reduced to throwing rotten tomatoes on the internet. The fact that most Americans are woefully uninformed about what is going on in the world right now and have a great degree of apathy is not a natural occurrence, in my view, and has been manufactured in the population by the incredibly deceitful propaganda wars being fought by these malevolent forces creating feelings of powerlessness in the people to effect change.

An uninformed population is easily swayed by propaganda, even glaringly malevolent propaganda, and America's population is largely uninformed at this point.

But the information in the OP is verifiable and I've learned it from solid sources. You can start with the links I have provided and go from there. Most of this stuff is right out there in the mainstream. What I've relayed here is just an overview and there is much to be learned on these issues. I urge you to to take it seriously enough to at least look into. This stuff might look kind of crazy to you, but there really is something to it. The skullduggery I described in the OP will persist and only get worse, but it will dissolve with public scrutiny and awareness.

If you guys do not read Facebook, I don't blame you, but if you go over there and read Trump supporters it can be very instructive. Trump spent $85 million during his campaign for ads on social media. I think most of it went into Facebook. That's also where we know for sure that Russia got involved purchasing ads that supported Trump. There is also evidence of pro-Trump Russian troll accounts. A sitting U.S. Senator says that that stuff is just the tip of the iceberg concerning the interference from Russia. I've been reading on Facebook since before the election. With few exceptions that I have seen continuing up to the present, Trump supporters that I have seen there are impervious to logic and reason, and when presented with the truth cry, "Fake news!" They are lost in a world of lies and deceit and do not have the ability to think critically. They are brainwashed and will support Trump no matter what he does or how badly he behaves. To give you perspective on that, I've seen documentary footage on what it's like in North Korea on the inside. The way the typical Trump supporter sees Trump is exactly the same way North Koreans see Kim Jong Un- blind, unquestioning support and loyalty.
