(1,349 posts)She only fools the idiots and the complicit.
Like the people who were steering bitter dead enders her way, both the Foreign actors on twitter and FB and the Purity patrol. Nina Turner, Susan Sarandon, Cenk, Nomiki ...
All those people encouraged idiots to vote their "conscience", told them there was no difference between the two parties and slimed our candidate.
As we watch an incompetent, murderous idiot tweeting racist things while he willfully lets Americans die in Puerto Rico.
Thanks a bunch, what a wonderful revolution you've ushered in, so pure.
We're paying the 'purity' price these days

(17,235 posts)We had a bunch of nutcases running for the POTUS; drumpf, Stein and Johnson. You'd think out of our entire population, we could come up with a mere handful of quality Presidential candidates from any political parties.

Not all of Bernie Sanders' high-profile supporters are backing Hillary Clinton.
In a sharply worded op-ed article in the Guardian, Cornel West, an influential scholar and civil rights activist who was a staunch supporter of Sanders in the Democratic presidential primaries, endorsed Green Party candidate Jill Stein, calling her the "only progressive woman in the race."
"This November, we need change. Yet we are tied in a choice between [Donald] Trump, who would be a neo-fascist catastrophe, and Clinton, a neo-liberal disaster," wrote West. "Thats why I am supporting Jill Stein. I am with her the only progressive woman in the race.
West's overt jab at Clinton and support of Stein, who was also the Green Partys nominee in 2012, comes just days after Sanders endorsed Clintons candidacy as the two campaigned together in New Hampshire.

(17,378 posts)Also, will Bernie Sanders take responsibility for putting Cornel West on the DNC platform commitee without securing his support for the DNC's nominee?

Top Bernie Sanders supporters Dr. Cornel West and Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) will be among those on the Democratic Party's important Platform Drafting Committee after the Vermont senator won a key concession as he looks to leave his mark on the party's platform.

The roster of the drafting committee, released by the Democratic National Committee on Monday, reflects the party's agreement that Sanders would have five supporters on the committee, compared to six for Hillary Clinton.
Sanders previously panned DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who appoints all of the committee members, for failing to include enough of his supporters on an initial list. But the latest statement notes that Wasserman Schultz allocated the campaign's seats "proportionally according to the current vote tally."
Along with West and Ellison, Sanders supporters on the committee are author Bill McKibben, Arab American Institute head James Zogby and Native American activist Deborah Parker.

(1,349 posts)when he called HRC a bitch publicly.
In my book, that makes him not such a good guy. Also, he sat silently while people booed his colleague on that farce of a disunity tour. Good guys don't do that.

(27,759 posts)As far as that farce of a unity tour, I think he's in an awkward position.

(1,349 posts)He's in an even more awkward position when he failed to lift a finger or breathe a word to do the thing he was put in office by the man being being booed to do.
How do you justify being on a unity tour and letting crowds boo your friend? Your co-chair? I expected petulant, satisfied passive agressive inaction from Bernie, that's been his MO, but Ellison had to do more, that he chose not to, speaks volumes.

"My summary statement was always that I would feel terrible if Donald Trump was elected, and I would feel terrible if Hillary Clinton was elected."
Her voters are so ignorant that they buy this shit.
