RAICES publishes deadline for renewing DACA

RAICES (Refuge and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services) sent me an email which includes the current deadline for renewing DACA. If your DACA expires by March 5th, 2018, deadline for application is October 5th, 2017:

Excerpt from the email I got:

Some people can still apply to renew their DACA but they have a deadline. Only DACA recipients whose DACA grant expires by March 5, 2018 will be allowed to submit a DACA renewal application. The renewal application MUST be submitted to USCIS by October 5, 2017.

We firmly believe that no one should miss their opportunity to renew due to lack of funds and therefore are raising funds to support individuals with their fees.

Since 2012, RAICES has helped over 2,000 young people apply for DACA throughout Central and South Texas. RAICES is committed to helping DACAmented individuals who are eligible to apply for renewal by October 5th, 2017. Renewal applications cost $495. For those who cannot afford the cost of renewal, RAICES is raising funds. If you can, please support our DACA renewal fundraising efforts.

For DACAmented individuals who may have questions about what the decision means for them, RAICES is hosting a DACA information session tonight Sept 7th on our Facebook page at 6:30 pm, and we hope you'll join us there.
