Trump mocks Paul, Fiorina and Bush at rally
Source: The Hill
The real estate mogul and reality TV star mocked Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-Ky.) height, warned Carly Fiorina not to publicly challenge him, and jabbed at former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush over an early campaign stumble about whether he would invade Iraq.... Carly was a little nasty to me,” Trump said. “Be careful, Carly. Be careful. But actually, I can’t say anything to her because she’s a woman and I don’t want to be accused of being tough on women.”... “I promised I wouldn’t say that she ran Hewlett Packard into the ground,” Trump said. “I said I would not say it. That her stock value tanked. That she laid off tens of thousands of people and she got viciously fired. I said I would not say it. And that she then went out and ran against Barbara Boxer for senator of California, and it’s a race that should have been won and she lost in a landslide, and I said, I will not say that, ok? So I’m not going to say it.” Trump was also critical of Bush, who earlier in the cycle stumbled over a question about whether he would have invaded Iraq, as his older brother, former President George W. Bush, did. “He didn’t know the difference,” Trump said. “He couldn’t answer the question whether Iraq was a good thing or a bad thing. It’s all right to say they made a mistake, then finally after going to his pollster, who he pays a fortune to by the way, after five days he said it’s a bad thing.”... “The other day, I’m watching, and [Bush] said, ‘Well, we got Saddam Hussein out, didn’t we?’ ” Trump said. “I’m not a fan of Saddam Hussein, but he ran the place, and he had no weapons of mass destruction, and now instead of Saddam Hussein, we are far more brutal, we have ISIS and we will have Iran because they are already making deals.” Read more: http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/251196-trump-mocks-paul-fiorina-and-bush-at-rally

But then I think about this as a presidential race for the republican nominee and I think how sad.

It is a beautiful thing! I think he has just about put away Perry, working on Paul and Bush next.

20. He really has
little respect for the rest of them and their culture war issues
which are irrelevant to his casino perspective. They ignore his criticisms to their peril, and probably don't believe it could be happening. 16 empty suits being deflated by NY bluster and bombast. Absolutely amazing! |

8. Jaw-dropping
Trump is an old school mainstream New Yorker focused on
results rather than partisanship and imaginary culture wars. He's like a 1970s Rockefeller Republican, and he's not going to tolerate nonsense. I think it a misnomer to call him a Tea Party Republican. And he's not packaged by layers of pollsters and political analysts and focus groups. The dialogue with Ailes troubles me, don't know what he's up to there. He will be one for the history books if he can keep going as an American patriot and businessman. Glad the Democrats will have more candidates as they must balance against the Imperialist Gang of 17. It takes numbers to generate political energy. |

10. Thanks for the in-depth analysis
He's the smartest Republican in the race, and he knows who
is Presidential material, and who isn't. Turning over the country to a bunch of culture war loonies is not in the best interests of the casino industry. This may be an internal war of business vs. religion. If business wins he'll have done the country a great favor. |

19. All of which is true
but aren't they all ego-maniacs?
And he is mainstream relative to the rest of the field which is far right religious wing of the party, whereas Trump's issues and the way he talks about them are firmly rooted in the 1970s and in simple corporate focused and bread and butter issues. He's going to reclaim jobs from China? No problem, just bluster, but there it is. The rest of them won't acknowledge the jobs ever left our shores. He's doing a number on them, and they don't know what to do about it. |

29. On focusing on the loss of jobs
Republicans are pretty much in the survival-of-the-fittest Social Darwinism
mode now, you're on your own, stop being a leech, get a job and off Food Stamps or Medicaid because we're going to end it. Trump is not addressing that. He is viewing jobs in the 1970s and 1980s sense, they were outsourced and our factories exported, and he will bring them back. I know it's bombast and ridiculous, but that's where he's going with it and the crowds are buying it. Modern Republicans ignore that. It's workers' faults for not having jobs because they are lazy moochers from their view. Funny how they have turned from the "Job Creators" to totally not responsible for job losses. Trump is a throw-back to Republicans of the 1970s and 1980s. He's not buying the Bush party ideology. |

Bush, Fiornia and Paul ,sad additions to the same old bad news. And Christie, he took a walk down the board walk saying bad things about me, obese things and his obesity will not be tolerated. As far as I'm concerned, even if he had any worth left in him ,I have no use of him, he's damaged goods. To the bottom line, that aspect in it has not been seen on tv. He is bombastic , but you have to admit he is sounding more like an old style conservaDEM than a modern GOPer.. I mean he is a liberal on Trade, He has spoken openly about protecting SSI/Medicare.. he wants to rebuild our infrastructure.. he is an asshole.. but people pereceive it as a strong suit.. Hillary vs Trump could be very interesting.. we should not underestimate anyone from the side of the aisle.... IMO.. Trump is really not a GOP or a Dem IMO .. i he is ore like an Indy and coudl be a real threat in the GE.. we underestimated Reagan too....
