Trump protesters clash with police in Anaheim; several arrested after debris thrown after officers

Source: LA Times

Supporters and critics of Donald Trump squared off Wednesday in Anaheim as the presidential candidate held a rally, with police officers making several arrests after some demonstrators threw objects at them.

After Trump departed, a small group of protesters remained in the area and ignore demands by police to leave the area. At least one trash can was set o fire, and large groups of police were trying to push the remaining demonstrators away.

Lines of police officers on horseback were moving through the streets near the Anaheim Convention Center, with a several dozen protesters in front of them.

Trump's talk was interrupted at one point by a protester inside the center. After pausing for a moment, Trump said: "The safest place to be in our country is a Trump rally." Trump ended his speech to loud applause.

Scoundrels like Trump have used agents provocateurs since time immemorial.

That said, if they really were opponents of Trump's - that's some favor they're doing to their cause.

Trumpolini must feel like it's Christmas in May.

these days. Just think last year to do live broadcast quality tv remotely took a sat truck and them you could really not move much. Now you can do 1080p HD video with a LTE internet transmitter and go any where, even running down the street.

MSNBC has a kid talking that is really good giving commentary while running backwards and the cameraman in front and a kid running ahead of the reporter kind of clearing the way. Things be changing fast.

I foresee a web site like YouTube with hundreds of feeds in the screen and just pick the one at the moment you want to watch. May already be available now, I don't know.

who are throwing rocks, etc. The anti-Trump people were standing holding signs. Don't blame this on the left.

Rogelio Banuelos, a 26-year-old Costa Mesa man holding an anti-Trump sign, said he came to Anaheim on Wednesday to stand up against what he perceives as Trump's hate speech.

"I feel his language is problematic. It's meant to incite fear of the other," said Rogelio, who described himself as an undocumented immigrant. "I don't believe a human being can be illegal."

Near the entrance, a crowd of four Trump supporters holding Bibles and religious signs were trading insults with a large anti-Trump crowd.

Two of the Trump backers repeatedly asked if the protesters were "illegals."

"You're all going to burn in hell," shouted one Trump supporter who repeatedly hurled anti-gay slurs at the protesters.

Another member of the Trump crowd, 55-year-old Ruben Israel of Los Angeles, said the billionaire wasn't his first choice but he believes Trump is the only candidate who can restore order in America.

Quite the reversal from last night in New Mexico where Trump protesters were seen live on TV smashing cop cars and throwing rocks at police horses. Any video of Trump supporters throwing rocks at cops? All reports this afternoon have mentioned the opposite. Would love to catch them stirring up trouble.

I don't care if you're for Hillary and just LOVE lying about Bernie Supporters, let this observation be a window into whether the media would rather make Republican supporters look bad, or ONLY Democratic supporters.

On one hand, I am making the statement that there are Hillary supporters that seem to enjoy lying about Bernie and his supporters.

On the other hand, and this was the main point of the post... I want us all to see if the media focuses as much on this as they did the Nevada Convention.

Because, the Nevada Convention wasn't actually violent. There was anger, there was shouting.

But THIS, from Trump supporters is actual, legitimate violence.

SO, the point is, if the media gave more airtime to the Nevada Convention than it does this, then there is some clear, BAD BIAS going on and it would show that the media is a bit in favor of Trump and leaning against Democrats.

ETA: Just noticed that you're the topic creator! No, I am NOT accusing you directly. That sentence was meant as a broad statement towards any Hillary supporters that are more focused on lying about Bernie supporters.

You can't tell me what to post and where.

Sheesh, I was being totally cordial with you.

And besides, the BEEF with the media is OURS. As Democrats, we should be concerned if the media was more inclined to cover up Trump supporters antics while making us look crazy with a Nevada convention.

But alas, if you want to bare teeth at me because I'm a Bernie supporter and you're a Hillary supporter, carry on. I meant well.
