Jared Kushner Now Under FBI Scrutiny in Russia Probe Say Officials
Source: NBC News
The FBI's scrutiny of Kushner places the bureau's sprawling counterintelligence and criminal investigation not only on the doorstep of the White House, but on the cusp of the Trump family circle. The Washington Post first reported last week that a senior White House official close to Trump was a "person of interest," but did not name the person. The term "person of interest" has no legal meaning.

(12,448 posts)I read something before about Kushner being the person of interest the WaPo reported about, but it was from a source frowned on by the purists on DU. Glad to see NBC News picked it up.

Investigators are focusing on a series of meetings held by Jared Kushner, President Trumps son-in-law and an influential White House adviser, as part of their probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election and related matters, according to people familiar with the investigation.
Kushner, who held meetings in December with the Russian ambassador and a banker from Moscow , is being investigated because of the extent and nature of his interactions with the Russians, the people said.
The Washington Post reported last week that a senior White House official close to the president was a significant focus of the high-stakes investigation, though it did not name Kushner.
FBI agents also remain keenly interested in former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn and former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, but Kushner is the only current White House official known to be considered a key person in the probe.

Bannon didn't come in until late.
It had to be someone who has been there, a little worm tongue who has been whispering into the Orange Blunder's ear..."You can do it, Pops. You can do it. make us richer than rich."
It had to be someone so close, so very very close.
Oh joy. Hannity is toast. O'Reilly is toast. Fox is toasted!! It's toasty toast!!
I can walk out this evening with a spring in my step. Ka-boom...now, if it takes the whole stinking Republican Party.

I couldn't resist. The noose is getting tighter and tighter. Rats are jumping ship and it appears as though the whole team, the campaign, current appointees and family are all somehow implicated. This will likely be a long, long show.

She could be seen as kopi luwak. Kopi luwak is the coffee bean taken from the excrement of a wild civit in parts of Indonesia. It's very precious and highly esteemed by those who like it.
One has to pick out the coffee beans, wash them, prepare them. But even when the beans are edible and the civet eats them, most of the poo is just shit. The rest of the time, it's just shit.
That's Mensch.
Most of the time what comes out of the civet is just, well, shit. And when it's not, you still have to do some preparation before you accept as coffee.
Some, however, don't mind the taste of unwashed civet-passed coffee beans.

(15,246 posts)I tuned into Nicole Wallace's new show at 4 on MSNBC last week. She had a good panel and they were discussing the Russia probe. Mark McKinnon, who was a GOP operative back when GW Bush ran, was one of the panelists. During that campaign McKinnon was involved with some sort of tape shenanigans, of which I can't recall the details. Anyway, the FBI investigated the affair. McKinnon said basically you haven't been sweated until you've been sweated by the FBI. This is what Jared can look forward to. And you know they won't talk to him until they know what the factual answers are to the questions they ask.

(9,670 posts)It appears that Kushner is in it up to his eyeballs. His wife seems close enough to the action to believe that she, too, may be implicated in the future.
But was Melania firewalled from the collusion and crimes?

Youve seen it in countries all over the world where theyve appointed family members, whether its their son, daughter, in-laws it provides for tremendous opportunities for corruption, Shruti Shah, an international corruption expert at Coalition for Integrity, told HuffPost last month. People who want to curry favor find their way to provide favors to family members as a way to get closer to the person in power.

She is either a nazi as well, or she just doesn't have the courage to fight both her father and by extension her husband and father to their children. If it is the former, I have zero sympathy for her. But it may be that in the future we may find out she has a kind of stockholm syndrome and is playing along to get along. I would not be surprised if she was "steered" towards marrying Jarad, as well as even that she was sexually molested by her dad at an early age.

That would explain how she became the wife of another NY thug crime family member. You or I probably couldn't stand to be married to someone who carries out sleazy real estate deals for a living. She, however, came from a similar background.
