Devin Nunes says he will hold Attorney General Jeff Sessions in contempt of Congress over Russia investigation

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) said on Sunday that Republican lawmakers will move this week to hold Attorney General Jeff Sessions in contempt of Congress.

The morning after Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani told Fox News that Sessions should end special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, Nunes phoned in to Fox & Friends to blast the attorney general for “abuse” of FISA counterintelligence wiretaps “and other matters.”

According to Nunes, the Justice Department has refused to comply with a subpoena for information that was used to convince a secret court to approve a wiretaps on then-Trump campaign staffer Carter Page.

“The only thing that’s left that we can do is we have to move quickly to hold the attorney general of the United States in contempt and that’s what I’m going to press for this week,” Nunes revealed. “We’ve asked for very important information, it’s still classified. Because of the way they conducted this information, most of this information is classified. But because this is so important, I’m not going to take any excuse to say, ‘Oh we’re harming national security.'”

18. I must confess. I admit; I too am in contempt of Congress. And I will remain in contempt

of Congress, for as long as the GOP remains in control of the House and the Senate, and as long as the Liar-in-Chief remains in control of the White House..

5. devin nunes ("R"-CA)?

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA)

And here I thought the "R" in front of the state that identifies Nunes (and the other "Rs" in this party) stood for "Republican" party.
Silly me! I'm sure it means - Russian!

So from now on when referring to any "R" such as House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, add (Russian-CA).

Gee, that must mean - Paul Ryan (Russian-WI) and Mitch McConnell (Russian-KY) and Trump (Russian-Fascist) and etc., etc....

We need to start calling them what they are and use this anytime we address these traitors.

It started as a slow unraveling; now the sweater is a messy lump of tangled yarn.

9. Yeah, and I would like to see how this will go over w/ Congress...

From what I understand, Sessions is liked by most of his congressional peers. Nunes doing this to a fellow former congressman? Yeah, right...

As I hold every other member of his party who aided and abetted this train-wreck of a regime.

13. Right, so they're going to get the required 60 votes in the Senate to overcome the filibuster

and both Houses will approve the Contempt motion against Sessions, the former Senator.

Then it will go to Justice, where Sessions will have to recuse himself and Rosenstein will bring the criminal Contempt charges to a grand jury.

15. Nunes will probably be indicted

before he subpoenas Sessions.
Nunes will have a choice: prison laundry or making license plates.

What will he be indicted for?

20. Having worked with a criminal trial lawyer for several years

my instincts say if someone is acting guilty, they probably are. Nunes has the characteristics of a guilty man, as in never answering a yes or no question with one word. Her uses qualifiers for almost everything.

17. Go for it, Dev

In six months you are out of a job, so make all the splashy headlines you can. Then one day you can tell your grandchildren what a giant of the House you once were. They might even buy it.

Shower Cap calls you a pig-fucker. It took me a while to get the connection. Now I can't stop laughing whenever I read his blog and see your name.
