Trump Family Business Faces Post-Election Reckoning

Source: WSJ

No matter what he focuses on after the presidency, the businesses will require his attention. Two New York investigations will continue after he leaves office and the Trump Organization will need to avert a potential cash crunch caused by looming debt maturities at the firm’s real estate holdings. Personal guarantees Mr. Trump made on some of the organization’s debt add urgency to shoring up its financial position.

Trump Organization executives say a key focus will be growing the brand globally once Mr. Trump leaves office. Yet those plans will face hurdles. In China—a market long eyed by Mr. Trump—the president has become deeply distrusted after his trade war damaged U.S.-China relations. In Europe, some of the Trump trademarks have been eliminated by legal challenges.

The Trump Organization might soon slim down. Several properties are for sale, including its Washington hotel and two skyscrapers in New York and San Francisco that are part-owned by the Trump Organization. The organization also has been considering selling its Seven Springs estate outside of New York City, The Wall Street Journal previously reported.

Any sales could help the family avert a lending crunch. The Trump Organization has more than $400 million of debt due in the next few years and many lenders have indicated they are wary of doing business with Mr. Trump.

The entire free world must work to bring down the Trump's. The combination of criminal and civil investigations, and finding the sources of funding for his golf courses and buildings and pressuring them behind the scenes. Trump has made a lot of enemies, use them to bring down the entire Trump organization. Kill the head of the snake and his spell on the Repubs will break. After that, they will splinter into various factions, none as powerful as the trumpettes.

Foreign governments will no longer see the need to pay for rooms they never used just to buy his favor. Republicans who want to run for president in 2024 will start steering party meetings away from his properties because they will not want him to run again, and if he goes bankrupt again he will lose at least some of his base. The evangelicals won’t care because they’ll believe that he gave everything away and is now following in the footsteps of Jesus. You can’t fix stupid.

I don’t know what the terms of the DC hotel lease are, but I assume there are clauses allowing the government to cancel the lease for nonpayment of rent. That would be fabulous!

And if Melania files for divorce on January 21, that will be another drain on his reserves. I want to see him just ground into poverty.

I think that in addition to your thoughts, no one has considered his greatest probability for grifting. (Not possibility, but PROBABILITY)

SELLING U.S. INTELLIGENCE TO OTHER GOVERNMENTS. IT'S NOT AS IF TRUMP AND JARED HAVEN'T DONE THIS ALREADY!!!!!!

Jared owes a 150 million payment on his failed real estate venture last spring. Suddenly he takes his briefcase down to Saudi Arab country. Miraculously, he comes back with 150M to make the payment. Days later, the Saudi's execute several members of the hierarchy in their dynasty......

The possibilities are endless. Putin needs to know about our defenses, who our agents/spies are and where they are, how much we know about all of Russia's covert activities, etc etc etc. China is pissed at U.S. but not so much that they wouldn't pay dearly for the same information. Same thing with Saudi's and who knows what other countries and people..........

Trump and his spawn have been, and still are, an EXTREME security risk much greater than anything that has ever existed for the U.S.

There was lots of discussion about that because some people did not understand it was the only the lease, not the building, that could be sold

None of the trumps seem capable of thinking very far ahead. They've made enemies now.

Anything up for sale is bound to get lowballed. Buyers may wait for the fire sale when he misses the loan deadlines.
