Dozens of Republicans are planning to form new party

Source: The Hill.com

Dozens of Republicans are planning to call for reforms amid escalating divisions within their party and are threatening to form a separate group if GOP members do not break away from former President Trump.

The more than 100 former Republican officials are expected to release their demands in a letter on Thursday titled "A Call For American Renewal," according to plans shared with Reuters and later reported by NBC News.

The letter states that Republicans must "either reimagine a party dedicated to our founding ideals or else hasten the creation of such an alternative,” according to NBC News.

As a flaming, knee-jerk, bleeding-heart Liberal, I would welcome the return of sanity to the GOP.

The crazy wing of the party taking over is bad news for America. These folks, Liz Cheney and all, have to do what they have to do. I can’t celebrate the situation. It’s too dangerous.

It doesn't take a huge percentage to make a large difference in election results.

Right now the GOP is catering to the crazy wing and assuming that the core and moderate Republicans will just keep voting the way they have in the past. And they have been correct about it so far. If there was a sense that they (GOP politicians) had to appeal to the saner, moderate, non-Trump Republicans, it would change the landscape dramatically.

I think there is a crowd out there who are not strong Trump supporters, but are just never going to vote for a Democratic candidate. If they are given another alternative, then the crazies become less powerful, and less appealing to those seeking votes.

If the money guys are fed up with the insanity and disruption, they will donate to a new, more traditional conservative party. I don't know how many of the money guys are pro-fascist, so that will be the big tell.

When in power, they have implemented neither fiscal discipline nor reduced power of the central government.

Abusing people for profit, cheapest labor as possible, cultural control games, less regulation of corporations,
inequality,
corporate welfare and reagan's trickle down bullshit are not principals worth having.

All the republicans still believe in this shit. Whether they are trumpers or not.

The core beliefs of conservatives are ugly and fail to work in the real world.

And they are playing moderate, while they believe in these actually radical destructive ideas.

Won't happen.

And if it does, I will have been wrong. I'm okay with that.

American Renewal? You see, this is where they just can't stomach the truth or reality. Joe Biden has American Renewal under control. the Republicans (and Joe Manchin) don't want to play a part. What they need to renew is their party. Or, better yet, create a new party. Leave American Renewal to the adults.

Take the Gops, and put them into aversion therapy for stunted liberals.

Torture, change religions, pain, drugs, waterboarding, cooking for morons and a few other 'starter' methods.

Just to assure, once completed... they just won't be tea party kooks.
