Pennsylvania Republicans call for Arizona-style election audit
Source: The Hill
Republican lawmakers from Pennsylvania are calling for their state to conduct an Arizona-style audit of the 2020 presidential election, The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.
During a visit to Phoenix on Wednesday, three GOP Pennsylvania state lawmakers toured an audit site and met with Arizona Republican lawmakers to discuss issues with the elections, according to Arizona state Sen. Wendy Rogers (R), the Journal reported.
Two state senators and one member of Pennsylvania's House met with Arizona legislators at the state Capitol before visiting the audit site for a briefing, The Associated Press reported.
The Republican-led Arizona Senate has hired auditors to hand-count 2.1 million ballots cast in Maricopa County. President Biden won the state by 10,000 votes out of more than 3.3 million cast, in part due to a narrow victory over former President Trump in Maricopa County.

(22,981 posts)PA needs to tell them to crawl back into the hole they slithered out of and then fornicate themselves. With a pitchfork. An old rusty, manure-encrusted, tetanus- and corona-infected pitchfork. With bent tines. Sideways.

(9,435 posts)These audits have little transparency and oversight, and are apparently not subject FOIA/open records laws.
If they want to recount records or look for inelligible voters, be my guest. But it should be transparent and there should be oversight. AND it should be nonpartisan in that it looks at the entire state, not just Democratic jurisdictions.

(127,308 posts)and it will be vetoed by (D) Governor Wolf, and they don't have enough to override the veto.
These idiots were laughed out of both the state AND federal courts many times due to their election shenanigans.
AZ has a GOP Executive branch (governor), Legislative branch, and Judicial branch (where the Justices are appointed and all were done by GOP governors).
PA *ONLY* has a GOP-majority in the Legislative branch, where both the Executive branch (governor/SOS) and Judicial branch (which has elected Justices, and is currently 5 (D) - 2 (R)), are both Democratic-majority. We also have a Democrat as the State Attorney General.
It's all kabuki theater. That whole pile of loons need to be locked up.

(127,308 posts)And I expect he has his sights on running for Governor next year to replace Wolf. We would definitely NEED a (D) governor again for another 4 years, which is often hard to do because this state tends to rotate parties when it comes to governors (but then we broke precedent of automatic 2-terms and got rid of Corbett after one term so... ).

Why let the AZ (R)'s look like morans when they can share their abundance of stupidity with PA (R)'s?

Republicans will want to re-count votes over and over again until they win or until they can sully enough ballots to draw the election results into question.
I've never been so pessimistic.
