Marjorie Taylor Greene wins GOP nod for 2nd term in Congress
Source: Yahoo! News
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has made a name in Washington pushing hard-right conspiracy theories, easily won her party’s nomination for Congress on Tuesday. The Associated Press called the race just over an hour after polls closed. With 99% of the vote reported, Greene had 69% of the vote. Voters picked Greene, commonly known by her initials, MTG, over her Republican challengers, including health care executive Jennifer Strahan. Strahan received 17% of the vote on Tuesday. Greene will face off against a Democratic challenger in the heavily Republican 14th Congressional District, which includes the exurbs of Atlanta and a rural northwest swath of Georgia. An effort to remove Greene from the ballot for her role in former President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss, but a state judge determined that Greene’s opponents lacked enough evidence to prove she had “engaged in insurrection.” Read more: https://news.yahoo.com/marjorie-taylor-greene-wins-gop-nod-for-2nd-term-in-congress-013201720.html This seemed to have slipped under the radar on Primary Day...

Only chance of getting rid of her is in the 2032 new Congressional maps.

She sure knows her shitty constituents. |

10. Can we please put someone to run as a Dem on the ticket in November?
I don't care if it is a red district. After all these mass shootings, Roe being overturned, and the J6 report coming up, surely there is one person out there who may be able to defeat the likes of MTG to keep her out of Congress. There must be a movement by Dems across the country to be sure that there are challengers to ALL the MAGA candidates in November no matter if it seems they would be defeated. Take the damn chance and offer a meaningful opposition. Get angry!! Show some intensity and talk about how the GOP has done NOTHING for their own constituencies, how they lie, how they cheat, how they are fornicating scum, how they love all things Putin and Russia but hate America, how they hate democracy, how they hate Americans except for themselves.

19. Sorry, but no, there is not anyone out there who can defeat Greene.
Her district isn't competitive and hasn't been for years. No Republican has received less than 70% of the vote since 2012:
2012: 73% 2014:100% 2016: 100% 2018: 76.5% 2020: 74.7% Every Republican candidate for president or senator has gotten more than 70 percent of the vote in the district. The only way Greene was going to be ousted was if, as was the case with Cawthorn, the repubs turned on her and voted for a primary opponent. Which clearly didn't happen. In 2020, Greene won the republican primary with 40 percent of the vote and then got nearly 75% of the vote in the general. I don't care how good the Democratic candidates ads are, this is an unwinnable district -- has been for years. Money spent on a Democratic opponent is wasted and would be far better directed to Warnock and Abrams. |

Not just her district, they overwhelmingly voted for fucking Hershel token black Walker. Even their hard core white supremacist. The confederate states are an oozing pustule on the ass of America.

22. Come live here a while
before you describe Georgia that way. There are racists and anti-racists here. The latter are why our two senators are Democrats. I’ve heard people trash the South my whole life without bothering to examine the racism in their own back yard. Racism is a problem everywhere. There are people like Stacy Abrams in the South who are working hard to diminish the Republican power structure here.

23. A dad and two
Brothers live there. All trumpers. One adopted a mixed race child, they could not have a child. That brother is a racist ass hole. Took his son out of school for home schooling. He did not want any Georgia black influence. He calls Stacy the N Word. Another married a Russian mail order bride. Worships Putin. All are evilgelicals. All are racists. All live by the Gospel of Fox, Jones and Limpballs. All are trumpers. I can not talk to any of em. I live in a shit hole place as well. We gave you Meadows and Cawthorn. Born and raised in confederate supremacy white folk. My county is littered with gun stirs Dollar stores and churches. Confederate flags everywhere. I served this country 8 years. Under the American flag. Not that shut cloth worshipped by all the confederate states. I earned right to hate those assholes. I certainly feel the anger all the folks with a brain and a soul have for that ignorant crowd of Rebels.

We have to keep voting, keep supporting groups like Fair Fight and Emerge America and Stacey. The county I live in votes mostly Republican, but people get along pretty well and we feel we’re making progress.
