Former ABC News executive working with January 6 panel on upcoming hearings
Source: CNN
James Goldston -- the former president of ABC News who also served as a producer for some of the network's most successful news programs like 20/20, Nightline and Good Morning America -- is helping the committee with the planning of the hearings and their presentation.
The committee has hopes of putting on hearings that don't look like traditional congressional proceedings, and instead are multi-media presentations that weave a narrative outlining the committee's findings. Their goal is to demonstrate how former President Donald Trump and his allies peddled a false narrative about the election that laid the groundwork for the riot at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
The committee's first hearing is this week at 8 p.m. ET on on June 9.

(13,903 posts)The GQP wouldn't even bother to hire a former producer they would just bring Hand Job Hannity on board and the rest of Fox would assist.

the DOJ can take over and add the Jan 6 Committee's evidence to its own, and start its own green bay sweep.

(11,488 posts)In fact I WANT Democrats to politicize the insurrection and use it to full electoral advantage. GQPers definitely did the same with Whitewater, Bill's blowjob, Benghazi, Hillary's emails, Hunter's laptop, and many many other total non-events.
The big difference between us and them is that this time a real crime of significant impact to our way of life is being investigated.

Of course, Tucker is saying--I'm not giving up MY show to cover this! That's the audience we most need to hit.

It will open big then fall off.
The way to get eyeballs and make impressions these days is social media, platforms and web.
DNC should be buying ads that run everywhere.
If the media plan doesn't have bite sized, "short attention span theater" content on every platform...including MSM's sites it will be a bust. First night huge then the fall off will start.
