Pro-choice protestors hold rally outside Sen. Kyrsten Sinema's office in Phoenix

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- Several hundred protestors gathered outside Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s office in Phoenix on Monday night for a pro-choice rally. The crowd was chanting and holding signs outside the office near 32nd Street and Camelback Road around 7 p.m. “Hey hey! Ho ho! Sinema has got to go,” the crowd chanted.

Some were seen holding signs advocating for pro-choice and criticizing Sinema. Several signs read “bans off our bodies” and “I won’t stay quiet!” Several protestors spoke with Arizona’s Family about why the protest was held outside the senator’s office.

“We’re here to protest against Kyrsten Sinema because the people have put her in a position of power and she’s not going with the best interest of what we wanted her to do in the very first place. She made campaign promises that she never upheld because at the end of the day, there’s obviously money, politics that got involved. Essentially, we feel, she turned her back on all of us and we’re here to protest that today,” said one woman in attendance.

Monday’s protest was the latest in several rallies held by pro-choice supporters. A demonstration was held in Tempe on Sunday night, where a crowd marching down Mill Avenue and University Drive was pepper-sprayed by someone driving by. Tempe police say the pepper spray hit four people, and one had to be hospitalized.

Senator Sinema will definitely lose to an as yet un-named Democrat in the 2024 primaries.

1. On Fourth of July when the building is empty?

Why not on a day the office is open?

5. Exactly. In fact it could be argued that she may believe this will garner her support among

independents

8. News coverage

is a good thing. Perhaps folks need to go back and see how the past protests went (Civil Rights, Vietnam & Women's Rights).

2. As someone who tirelessly campaigned for her..........

And donated more time and money than I care to admit..........

I WILL BE WORKING 1000 TIMES HARDER FOR HER PRIMARY OPPONENT....

TO GET HER THE FUCK OUT OF THE SENATE.

(my truly held, deep down opinion of her will be held in silence since I might get "juried" by this site...)

6. High turnout in a presidential year should help any Dem

this is a good opportunity to elect a real Dem for that seat.

10. First we need

to focus on the Midterms in November. Give the Dems more votes so they can pass legislation that Biden can sign into law.

16. That would be sweet, if we could elect two added seats with real Democrats.

Just to watch her face drop when all that power she was abusing slips through her greedy little fingers. And she becomes a truly useless POS

7. That's good to hear.

Some of her reactions have shown me she's a little too "off the beaten path" for my taste as a responsible steward of the Democratic party.

Too many times, the road less traveled has led her to make decisions not in the best interest of the nation or the party.

and lots of stamina.
Glad that our Dems down there can do it.

12. it might help to also protest arizona state uni

it broadcasts sports on a hate radio station which helps pressure her and will likely help her fend off primary challengers. it will not favor her over a republican but will heap love on her for holding off filibuster reform - like all republican stations in the state

if the uni starts discussing its endorsement of racist anti-abortion trump loving global warming-denying bullshit it would spread to other universities like these other 86 and advertisers on all republican radio stations will suffer and the radio ad cos would be pressured to break up the monopoly

rw radio is big for pushing manchin sinema and other faux dems around

15. Ruben Gallego AZ-07

Bet your bottom dollar Ruben is going to run against Senator Movie House

He has been vocal about his dislike of her policies. . . something Sen Kelly has not.
