Trump says U.S. 'must respond' to Iran downing U.S. helicopter over Hormuz

U.S. President Donald Trump said the United States must respond to Iran shooting down an Apache helicopter in the Strait of Hormuz earlier on Tuesday.

"I have just been informed by our Great Military that last night the Iranians shot down one of our highly sophisticated Apache Helicopters while patrolling over the Strait of Hormuz," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

"There were two pilots involved, both are safe and uninjured. Nevertheless, the United States must, of necessity, respond to this attack."

Iran is adamant that attacks on Lebanon by Israel must stop completely. They reiterated that yesterday, after agreeing to stop further attacks on Israel. Then Trump caves to Satanyahu and this is the result.

Can a man be any more stupid?

Edited to add: Israel has now resumed bombing of Lebanon, killing 4 paramedics in front of the Red Crescent building and many others. Also ordered the full evacuation of the ancient city of Tyre including the Christian Quarter it had previously left alone and extending its occupation of Lebanon deep into the country.
