Tim Curry reportedly suffered a major stroke at his Los Angeles home, and is recovering following his collapse.
Curry, 67, rose to fame as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the 1975 cult film "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," and maintained a successful career on stage and in film.
"Tim is doing great," Curry's Los Angeles agent Marcia Hurwitz told the Daily Mail.
Though he appears on stage and on screen less frequently in recent years, Curry is one of Britain's best-loved and most prolific voice actors. Hurwitz says his voice has not been impaired as a result of the stroke.

(8,261 posts)seen that movie despite it being the midnight show at theaters nationwide for years while I was younger. I had to read the article to know why his health was in the news.
I hope he recovers soon. Sending good vibes his way.

(488 posts)was my first thought as well. However, if it's major it may be a long road back to warp speed.
Dr.Frank N. Furter is a legendary character. One among many he's created in his career.
I'm pretty sure the Big Invisible Sky Boohoo doesn't have much to do with anything and I'm pretty sure it doesn't entertain prayers from an unreconstructed old atheist so Tim will have to do with my best wishes and all the positive energy I can send his way.

(41,915 posts)I'm an unapologetic, thoroughly geeky Rocky Horror fan, and Tim gave me my first inclination that the world was a bigger place than I knew and I could get palpitations over a guy in a bustier. Then he went on to impress me with his acting skills in other matters. But Frank has a unique place in my heart.
May he recover and thrive.

NOBODY does Dr. Frank-N-Furter in "Rocky Horror" like he does. And I also loved him in "Hunt for Red October," as a somewhat simpering Soviet submarine officer. He's done lots of great stuff.
Glad to hear he's able to speak, though. That's hopeful news.
