Navy Times - OP-ED: A SEAL His Commander The CNO and the boss

This is an excellent OPED by Capt. Brennan (RET) that outlines, with great historical reference, the many times an officer, demoted, has been given clemency for behavior unbecoming an officer..the debate, pro or con..This article addresses Gallagher's situation ..The whole story demonstrates precedent..clemency, over many years...

The historical references are many - this story, jaw dropping, about Cuba and the Bay of Pigs..an officer demoted.

You are going to be amazed by the photos..historical photos..most recently, photo of the USS John McCain sitting atop a rescue ship after collision..2017..and the story of those demoted for the collision..

Pic too, Harry Truman piped aboard the USS Missouri..1945

He feels the same way..he explained, the Chief's mess will not recognize Gallagher as chief..he said he is an E7 - which is an insult …
