Today's RimJob Fatwa: "Same sex marriage is tyranny! Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God."

We are the resistance!! Perhaps the last line of resistance!! [FReepathon thread XVII]

The two major political parties are hell bent and riding hard to strengthen their grip on unconstitutional power. The GOP-e can hardly wait to strip the pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-liberty, pro-borders planks from its platform. Romney is their ticket to get it done. If staunch pro-life, pro-liberty, pro-gun, pro-borders, pro-small government conservatives can be turned, then obviously these principles are no longer a serious threat to the usurpers. DO NOT LET THEM TURN YOU!!

Do not let them do this. Do not give Romney and the GOP-e a mandate to chuck the life, family, small government and liberty planks from the platform!! You know Romney's record. And you know he's lying about any conservative conversion. He is no conservative, never has been, never will be, but has always been a liberal/progressive/statist bald-faced liar and petty tyrant. RomneyCare is tyranny! Government sanctioned/forced abortion, same sex marriage, gun control, crony capitalism, etc, all positions Romney has advocated for, are tyranny.

Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God.

We are the resistance!! And perhaps the last line of resistance.

Christianity has done quite nicely under tyrants for a lot longer than it has under democracy.

The undesirability of tyranny is a humanist notion, not a Christian one.

but most people who use the bible or god to call people to political actions don't really have any idea what the bible says or how it says it or why.

we have an entire subset of the population, about 30%, dedicated to the most heretical, anti-Christ beliefs possible.

Jesus didn't think the empire mattered and never told people to get involved in politics as part of their experience of god. never.

you must be pretty small minded to create a version of god that is that small-minded.

...is that while he won't allow pro-Romney content on F.R., "I'm not going to tell anyone they can't vote for him, but I won't!"

He banned a ton of pro-Romney freepers, and all of a sudden, he's not hearing the cash register "cha-ching" as much as he used to.

His current "FReepathon" fundraising drive is inching up around two percentage points every few days.

On DU, during the fund drives, the numbers used to inch up a few percentage points every few hours (and more often than not, the final contributions would come in a real sprint across the finish line).

JimBob seems to be holding firm to his despisement of Romney. While 99 percent of the former Newt and Rick-lovin' freepers are (as was easy to predict) buckling into the "Well, I'll vote for Romney because at least he's better than Obama" tone. Where's my popcorn?
