How, exactly are we entirely sure WHICH of the two possible sets, is the real and true version? I've not been following that closely the last few days, so this is an honest question.

I could easily see the GOP releasing fake versions JUST to keep this friggin story in the news ... but just because I believe that's the more likely scenario, I'm still wondering ... how do know for SURE who's 'version' is 'real'?

Is there a rundown somewhere of what all the changes they made are? THe Huff Po article shows two changes, is that the extent of it?

The news parallels a Tuesday CNN report which initially introduced the contradiction between what was revealed in a White House Benghazi email version, versus what was reported in media outlets. On Monday, Mother Jones noted that the Republicans' interim report included the correct version of the emails, signaling that more malice and less incompetence may have been at play with the alleged alterations.

Now the wingnuts I know claim that the White House released altered emails. I suggested that in that case there should be an investigation. Crickets.

One of the many benefits of living in far rural Pennsylvania, besides a lack of basic utilities, is an abundance of wingnuts who still worship Sarah Palin and listen to Rush.

I'm one of those Alabamans, halfway between Philly and Pittsburgh. They truly hate Obama. Half of them are on food stamps, welfare, or disability, but it matters not, they still rail against him.

after all, the whole situation in Libya where people died on their watch was just too tempting for Republicans to pass up taking advantage of. They should have known that anybody dying on their watch was going to be ginned up into a scandal.

They changed documents to suit their nefarious political agenda.

They need to be investigated and brought to justice. I know, like that will ever happen!

It should instantly fry their credibility, but people keep voting for and listening to them.
It was thoughtful of the Republicans to build a base of Low IQ voters, they're the only ones that don't seem to get it.

Mr. Rhodes, it seems, is the only person who can resolve the disparity between the earlier "leaked" version and the "official" one.

Both versions cannot be true and correct copies of the original. But I don't see any sign that any real harm has been done to anyone. This is simply muckraking.

we are still waiting. Isn't it obvious they are nothing but obstructionists. Enough . Get angry and make it 'difficult to be a Republican." As Boehner fears, Obama is trying to do.
