7. According to this asshole, pretty much every significant event is some sort of hoax or false flag.

He was on Twitter claiming that Sandy Hook was a government "black op" less than a half hour after the news of the shootings broke.

I grew up in Austin, and I remember back in the late 90s when Jones was just a local Central Texas nutjob who was considered to be a loon by most people who were familiar with him. The fact he's been able to gain an international following through the internet never ceases to amaze me.

It's one thing to be a jerk, it is quite another to be the only known brain eating venereal disease to be transmitted by the Internet.

listeners always. I can't remember, if I heard in Thom Hartmann or Ring of Fire, that over 50% of Americans get there "news" from conservative radio or Fox "News".

9. This is the same guy who compared an armed overthrow of the US Government to Rosa Park's bus sit-in

This guy isn't a "Jerk", he is a very dangerous individual who inspires people like Chris Dorner and Paul Ciancia to go out an shoot police officers or TSA agents. It's a shame many people on the left and the right have dismissed this guy as a "kook" and ignored him, ignoring him only allows him to spew his anti-american and sometimes racist garbage unchecked.

Adam Kokesh

Alex Jones

Back in early 2013 Russia Today host and former US Marine Adam Kokesh tried to organize a massive gun rally/revolt in DC on July 4th of 2013, he went on to talk about overthrowing the government using force on the Alex Jones' show. Jones himself has been a frequent guest on Russia Today (Makes you wonder don't it?).

Kokesh did an about face after there was a huge backlash from the Militia movement although the backlash was mostly over his last name not what he was planning.

Notes from the video (I'll save you the trouble of watching the whole nauseating thing):

6:13 (Kokesh) "this is an armed revolt against the american government make no mistake about it."

11:23 (Kokesh) "yes, we are going with the aim of overthrowing the government, it has become obsolete"

14:31 (Kokesh) "we have to make it clear and put government on notice that we will use physical force when necessary"

22:02 (Kokesh) "we are asserting the right to be armed and to apply deadly force"

23:30 (Jones) "this is civil rights at it's core just like black folks goin in and sitting at lunch counters saying I'm not gonna get the food out the window anymore, I'm a human or going to the bathroom or sitting at the front of the bus."

26:38 (Kokesh) "you'll be on the wrong side of the firing line when the shooting starts"

Then there's this...

11. The "Alex Jones" thing is an act. He isn't like that off camera.

Some day someone will put up some footage of him when he isn't in character. The guy knows what works on the internet: fear (of everything), conspiracy theories, and verbal confrontation. It is a time honored formula, like 'Bread and Circuses" just without the bread part.

..., then he is a manipulative lying douchebag.

If that is true, that is actually worse, IMO. Shameful and despicable.

13. The only good thing Alex Jones has done IMO is his brief part in Waking Life

and even shorter follow-up cameo in A Scanner Darkly.

He's being set up for comparison to the ranting red-faced prisoner, and the guy who sets himself on fire.
I don't think he would work with Linklater and play his character in the movie if he really was for-real-for-real and that wasn't a character to begin with.

I think ultimately he's just a troll- in the internet sense, but IRL; and he's a successful one.
