They insist the arithmetic works out so cutting taxes for the rich while increasing military spending will balance the budget. But the dreaded liberal conspiracy has succeeded in sabotaging every calculator in existence to make it look like their math doesn't work.

He must have failed in his charter school, private school, home school, and if he had gone to a public school he would know that in a public school they were not worried about making a profit off people for Wall Street, Hedge funds, and anyone else that is in for greed.
No wonder the country is in the shape its in, we have staff members and a congressman not knowing how to divide, let alone add, multiply and subtract, and (he wants to eliminate the Department of Education), unless its against the citizens of the country with hate and fear as a tactic and to put everyone in the poor house when it comes to health care, what a hypocrite
He reminds me of O'Reilly 2+2=5 dam it, that's my math.
And just for curiosity did he get his degree from a degree mill, just asking

I went to Southwest Texas State University (now renamed Texas State Univ.) in the mid 70's and Pete was there my freshman year. After that, I heard he didn't return the next year because he flunked out.

He was the roommate of a good friend of mine. My friend was a lot of fun - the kind of guy everyone liked, but Pete didn't run with our crowd or any other crowd there. He had one male friend that he ran around with named Joe, and that was the only friend he appeared to have - really, he was kind of anti-social. My friend even tried to get Pete to ask me out, but Pete wasn't interested. I got the impression that he thought he was too good for people at that school.

He was very nice looking, but that appeared to be the only thing he had going for him. hat picture of him above suits his personality - a bit lost and confused.

He went to some other college and somehow, I believe he eventually graduated from a small private college, probably with a lot of help.

His father is William Sessions, former director of the FBI.

**%$#@!@*(!! prices. e.g. a round of my chemo, which costs $3600 for drugs + administration according to NIH, has an "allowed charge" of $23K! Of that, about $21K is for the chemo (not life-saving, no new and not state-of-the art).

But these R a-hats never ask these questions of their puppetmasters b/c they're BOUGHT and PAID for.

His figures are: 12 million participants at a cost of $5 million each.

What's the total cost? Multiplying those two numbers tells us that the total cost is $60 trillion.

What's notable is that GDP in 2014 -- the size of the entire U.S. economy, including health care for those 12 million, health care for everyone else, and everything (public sector and private sector) that went on that wasn't health care -- was $17.4 trillion, according to the Department of Commerce. So it would have taken more than years' output of the entire economy to fund one year's worth of Obamacare costs, according to the Hon. Pete Sessions.

Even if you give up on Sessions having any functioning neurons, you'd think somebody on his staff would've noticed this.

Of course, my district is no longer my old district. It used to be solidly all in Dallas, and we sent the incredibly able Democrat Martin Frost to Congress for 13 terms. The came DeLay's Gerrymandering, and our district suddenly consisted of a tiny sliver of the old district (the part with us in it) and a whole swath of Bible Belt hicks outside town. Welcome, Rep. Pete Sessions, R-TX, who could use a few private sessions of his own in remedial math, it seems. I think he must have dropped out around the second grade if his math is this bad.

Its effective. Since the media hardly challenges and stigmatize liars, it is politically useful to lie and spread falsehoods.

You can bet that some of his constituents will remember and believe this number. We should see that percolating soon in the twitter and facebook feeds..

Once it is taken over by the uninformed gop voters, they will tout it as gospel and you wont be able to convince them the number was wrong and arose from a basic math error.
