I've seen or heard it at least 3 times in the last week or so in major media outlets. Their past intrangency will be the heart of the Obama campaign and will force these issues out in the open.

I don't take this election for granted but the Tepublicans are going to have a lot to answer for, things that will grow in the public eye, things the msm will hammer them w/ as the months go by.

...to talk up the same issue. Bear in mind that Ornstein is from the American Enterprise Institute and Mann is from the Brookings Institution. Of course they have a new book out on the partisan gridlock, and in their recent op-ed piece in The Washington Post and on The Newshour they again made reference to GOP abuse of the filibuster rules. Frank doesn't get into that, but it's an important aspect of this to discuss because the media doesn't necessarily explain what's happening (as, for instance, when they write a piece of legislation was rejected when all that happened is that the GOP united to block a final vote on a bill that had majority support).

like me, have lost our party to Conservatives who espouse non Republican ideals, goals and means in complete denial of the reality of the economic and social realities of where we are as a nation. The best thing that could happen is that the GOP go down this election. Congress is where the fight needs to be. And cracks are showing more and more each day. Kanter looks extremely vulnerable and Ohio is looking less and less like Boehner's stronghold every day. Ryan looks vulnerable. I've been voting for mostly Democrats since John Kerry and 2004 and I will will continue to vote for the best candidate (who seem to be mostly from the DemocratIC Party here in Texas) that appear on the ballot.
